Perhaps I should’ve mentioned the fact that I probably hold the same belief he does. nbdHe is required to believe that because his faith tells him too
I have been told that I am required to respect other faiths and cultures. Sometimes I struggle though...

Good morning Nathan.
Looks like Jerry Busse is coming out with an integral folder this Friday.
Thoughts?
The Busse Combat Folder Has Become A Reality . . . And It Only Took 30 Years!!!
It Is Coming Friday, September 19, 2025 At 9:00 PM Eastern!!!
The Busse Combat Ground Troop 35 (GT 35) Integral Folder makes its debut this Friday, September 19, 2025, at 9:00 PM Eastern.
These battlefield-ready folders are designed for those in harm's way, where every ounce counts!
The Busse Combat patent-pending BLOCK Lock, combined with its integral one-piece handle construction, makes the GT 35 the strongest, light-weight folding knife EVER made!!! The BLOCK Lock is NOT a crossbar...

That was also the first thing that stuck out to me. Not just lint, because it would probably still function, but what about dirt/grit/sand getting in there?#notnathan, but when I see a knife with that type of lock, I am amazed that the lock "bar" isn't designed such that it blocks the gaping holes in the handle to prevent lint, etc, from getting in there. Some do, like the (much cheaper) Kershaw Diverge XR, but so many don't.
Just checked the Benchmade site and all the ones I saw have it. Example:That was also the first thing that stuck out to me. Not just lint, because it would probably still function, but what about dirt/grit/sand getting in there?
Seems like a simple enough design element; just don’t make that small piece with that hole. It saves, what? 0.02 oz?
The Hogue Ritter I have doesn’t have that hole (and neither do most of the Benchmade knives I’ve seen with that type of lock).

Huh… you’re right. My memory is off; my Hogue Ritter has a through hole, too (and yeah, it has lint in it
I heard it’s engineered to disperse the blood of your enemy and to not hinder the mechanical operation of the knife. #notnathanHuh… you’re right. My memory is off; my Hogue Ritter has a through hole, too (and yeah, it has lint in it).
***never taken one apart to see if it’s a design requirement from how it fits/interacts with other pieces in the mechanism.
My apologies. If only we could keep things about CPK and questions that Nathan could answer...
...but alas.
You are too nice! That's pretty cool![]()
