Around $150.

Cheapest is a $75 Wave Delica, most expensive is a $270 Benchmade 484-1. I'm planning on a Sebenza for my next knife purchase and that'll bump the average up a notch.

For what it's worth I have a bunch of old cheapos and stuff like multitools kicking around and those would bring the average down, but I don't consider that stuff "part of my collection" any more than I do my beater pairing knives in the kitchen and stuff.

Pics, anyone got any pics?

I don't have an entire collection pic..just a couple old pics of my Benchmade collection. Plenty have come and gone since I took these pics, but it takes so long to set them all out and put em back up, so probably not gonna be doing that again

Least: less than $2 for a Herter's "improved Bowie" about 40 years ago.
Most $110 for a Buck 124.
I have a drawer full of knifes. I don't/can't remember them all.

I would guesstimate the average to be $25 - $50.

I'm not a collector, I'm a user. I buy knifes for specific purposes. I don't care if they're rare or expensive as long as they do their job

About $240, I suppose.
Cheapest would be a HAP40 Spydie, perhaps. Highest is customized AVO and CRK Regular Sebenza.

I have 52 in my book that total $16,777. Averages out to $323 per.
27 are EDC folders that average out to $527 ea.
There is some other misc. stuff around in the garage.
Need to stop!

10 folders+3 fixed= 13 warriors= $ 5200=$400 ea.
Cheapest would be Spyderco Gayle Bradley 1 and Rockstead Higo as most expensive.
Will keep them at #13(my lucky number).Cheers.

Cheapest: Kershaw Shuffle $15
Most expensive: Rat Worx MRX/BM Infidel $300 ea.
Average: around $125

There is no way to accurately quantify that for me. Do you count butter knives in the kitchen flatware set? What about knives received as gifts? Exacto knives or box cutters in the toolbox? As a custom knife maker is my "knife cost" of my personal knives my materials costs or what I would sell it as a retail blade because that's lost income that I could have made and therefore I bought it off myself. Also my collection is continuously changing. Really only the knives that are very high end and perfect for my needs and preferences or the very low end like Mora knives that aren't worth selling remain constant. There is a pile of mid-priced semi-custom, factory, and customs that come and go all the time. Also some of my shop knives are seconds with flawed finishes or imperfections in the metal that couldn't be sold. Are those valued at $0 because they are "trash" knives that couldn't be sold and was repurposed within my shop not for sell just to keep from throwing them away or is their value something between $0 and the retail value of that model?

Hmm, if I spent a couple hundred bucks on Frost cutlery knives, I could bring down the average price of my knives to something reasonable sounding...

Sold off most of my collection last year. What is left is in the $200-350 range. The collection ranges from $50-600.
