The barrage?

Instead of grinding out "large valleys" for the serrations (thin serrations), they are leaving "mountains" and creating small valleys (thick serrations)...in effect, reversing the amount of metal that the blade retains.

The first time I saw this type of serration was on my S30v Blur I picked up about 3 years ago. I believe that it was the first run Kershaw did in S30v. Anyone know how many was produced?

as long as we're on the subject of serrations, does Kershaw make any fully serrated knives? I've only seen plain edge and part-serrated.

They used to...don't know if they still do.

I have to stop looking at your comparison pics, snap-on RAMs, Digi camo zings, and a black bladed scallion with OD handles.

Whoa Whoa - when did all this come about? And I thought I combed this area very well - digi-camo Zings? Snap-On Rams? Is this legit? Where is the snap-on Ram? Let's See! :-)

Thomas I can't beleive the quality of the knives you guys have put into wal mart for the price. I do not think I would have hesitated to pay $60 for the od-1. I plan to pick up the entire line at some point. These deals are just too good to pass up.

Our US factory is about as efficient as it can be as of today. It allows us to put out what we consider, quality pocket cutlery at very reasonable prices.

Glad you enjoy them, and thanks for the kind words.

Depends on the build quality, materials used, and most importantly what price point Wal-Mart wanted to piece to fit into.

Typically, Wal-Mart breaks their down their selections based on style, price, and a "good, better, best" quality matrix. Knives made in China will fall into the good, and occasionally better price points.

You will see prices of these type imports run from $9.99 - $24.99 (possibly higher, depending on knife/brand & quality).

Obviously there are different levels of quality that manufacturers can utilize in China, so like I said, it just depends.

Wal-Mart Canada is again a different entity than it's big sister here in the US. No, they will not carry any of the knives from this selection.
