The Beer Scout Knife

They make knives other than 15s with cap lifters, right? Was really just curious if the cap lifter was ever stainless.

I don't think so, or at least I have never seen one. They have made very few caplifter models. I can only think of one other than the 15's.

Only other cap lifter knife they made was the 2011 BF knife on the #85 pattern, which was also carbon steel. Stainless is a good idea though, and it wouldn't really need to be a fancier high-carbide stainless since it's not a blade. Something cheaper like 440A would probably work just fine.

Caplifter has never been Stainless. Boy's Knife has never been Northfield or GEC.

Mmmmm.... I think my ideal would be the straight deep clip with a long pull and the cap-lifter/screwdriver combo. Yep yep. Wood or micarta. Yep.

I'd like to see a cap lifter on a single-spring 66 slim, opposite the main blade.

Yes! Or for my money, the new #38, with a sheepsfoot main, and a caplifter on the other end. But hey, what's coming with the scouts is really sweet, no complaints here.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the scouts. I'm carrying one of the single blade sheepfoot #15's this month and it is doing well.

If you guys persuade GEC for one of those 66's...add my name to the petition!! I have two of Esnyx's original Beerlows and have a couple of the Beer Scouts on reserve but I'd love a single springer as well.

+1 that's what I want! Single spring with spear point or sheepsfoot with cap lifter tool on opposite end. Lean and mean.

The Victorinox Bantam (cellidor or alox) fits that description. But it's an equal end cattle knife type pattern, not serpentine. You don't often see caplifters on serpentine patterns.

A while back, I had a vintage knife that was a split backspring whittler with a bottle opener. Unusual pattern. If someone wants to see a photo, I'll look for it. I don't remember for sure but I think the shape was similar to GEC's #38 whittler.

I'd love to see a Eureka Jack with a Caplifter, the way the 15's look with a caplifter is cool, but I'd like to see a variety.

The production schedule is updated with these now. Also, does anyone know the prices on these?
