The Beer Scout Knife

So did it actually end up saying "beer scout knife" on the shield or just "beer scout"
I would much prefer the "beer scout"

Good question but the picture is not legible to my eye. After further examination it appears to say "Beer Scout Knife"

This is how it's referred to on Mike's site, Collector Knives.

Yeah I remember that in his description and the plate looked really long so I assumed as much. There was discussion earlier in the thread thinking it might be shortened as we all know its a "knife". Oh well, I got a soda on order too with the simpler "scout" on it also.

Does the "beer scout knife" bother anyone else ?

However, the GEC production schedule just says "Beer Scout" -- which I would have preferred.

I'm still looking forward to my ebony one ... but I'm going to hum "Spinal Tap" songs when I look at it.
 
Agreed, but I will keep my order. Its the only one coming with the ez open and a bail that I see plus I want sawcut chesnut bone.
 
I have a smooth bone on order, but I will probably snag a cocobolo one since I already have another knife in smooth bone coming in he future.
 
I think I would prefer just "Beer Scout". But, "Beer Scout Knife" does fit the traditional...tradition. :)
 
One cocobola on reserve! I'll take it whatever it says. Soda next, and then hopefully one of the blood red that is next.

I am looking forward to this combination of caplifter & sheepfoot; it should be really sweet.
 
Do we expect these to sell out immediately like a TC and go for almost double in the exchange or plenty around to be had?
 
Since the main run is factory and not SFO, hopefully there won't be a scarcity like the TC's.
 
So when should we expect these to ship? I got my emails this morning and have been thinking about it all day since...

I don't expect them to sell out right away: these are a GEC standard production run, not an SFO. There is also quite a selection of scale choices available so I'm sure everyone should be able to score at least one.
