Hey ladies and gentlemen, Iv'e been looking for a good EDC blade for under $20. Money is very tight in my household, and I am considering a good, inexpensive blade. I am a full time high school student, and money is hard to find. So any good suggestions? I am thinking about a CRKT Drifter or a Byrd Cara Cara.
I'm a newer knife collector (2 Years to be exact). I'm also saving to get my girlfriend a pink Delica. But she'll settle for her Pika II for another few months.
So throw them' suggestions out kiddies!

Thank you,
-Jack W
(And no, I don't bring my knives to school.)

I'm very pleased with this little guy:

Cost me all of $8. Now it's not going to be as sturdy as my EDC Paramilitary, but for 99% of my cutting needs, it does just fine... and boy is it sharp!

It's a nice blade.

And an amazing slicer. The price scared me away from Opinels for years, but I've never heard a bad word said about them, so I picked one up a few weeks ago.

I've never been one to carry a knife in my pocket while I'm at home, but that little Opinel has been in my pocket every day that I don't work and has cut everything that's needed cutting around the house.

It holds an edge relatively well for such a thin grind.

It's not a work horse, but it wasn't intended to be. It's just a good all around pocket knife for people who need to cut.

I don't have any experience with the Byrds, but if they perform even half as well as a Spyderco, then I don't think you can go wrong with one.

Have fun in your search.

+1 to the opinel
+1 to Buck Vantage select

ANY Victorinox knife that you like will be a great EDC -most of the best models are under or darn near $20. I suggest the basic Pioneer model which goes for just over 20$. (Look at the Victorinox "TSA" confiscations for sale on ebay -they are a steal!)

The Case sodbuster jr is 20 bucks.

Thanks, man.

I might just consider an Opinel.

Cara Cara is the way to go. Steel liners, G10 scales... can't lose. I actually prefer it to the Endura. Easily waved too. :D

Do consider the Kabar Dozier.

Less than $20 just about everywhere you look.

agreed on the opinels, has my #8 has turfed everything else out of my pocket. Reasonably sheeple friendly as well

Anything from Victorinox.
For EDC, a Farmer, Pioneer/Soldier, or Cadet in alox may suit you. The cadet is the thinnest of the bunch, and comes in a variety of colors.
