The big bad wolf...

Do I think a married person could?

Based upon observation, it appears many have the experience regularly.

It could have been killing his cattle/livestock.

I don't know the context. If I had to take out a wolf that was preying upon my livestock, I would do so without hesitation, and I would never begrudge someone else for doing the same. But I would still see it as a necessary evil, and not something to take pride in. I like and respect wolves. Perhaps I just have a soft spot for canines. I'm no anti-hunter, though.

I have 140 lb. timberwolf and that is MUCH, MUCH bigger than mine. I would guess over 300lb. and wolves never get that big..I say fake...

what is your wolf's name? how is her/his behavior different from a dog? What I have observed in very limited observation of a wolf is that they are smarter and less worshipful than a dog, and are somewhat skittish? correct?

Wolves are very much like children, smart fast energetic rather strong for their size and according to my sources they aren't skittish, they are very sensitive to body language and tone of voice.

They are wolves after all and not house pets, I don't understand them, I recommend Alaskas wolf man, great read, and he talks about his wolf hybrids quite a bit.

That's a good one. 280+ lbs from the original Nosler thread...and the blurry pic works great... If it had been real it would be international news since it would beat earlier 175 lbs world record by 100 lbs...

of great diet in the area the wolf was living in and just one of those odd ones that got huge! Like the 7ft tall 350 pound human, it happens and I guess could happen in the animal kingdom as well.

I got doubts about the weight given, I'm not saying it could'nt happen, genetic mutation, fluke ect (look at the NFL or NBA) They find oversized humans all the time. Could be a hybrid like the huge hogs we see here..400-500 pounders dont even shock us here in the south. Add a touch of Newfoundland/Great Dane/St Bernard a couple of generations back, good food supply ect and presto, Dire Wolf in the 21st century. Look up "Hogzilla". That monster was killed about 50 miles from here.

The photo looks pretty real to me... I cant find any evidence to the contrary other than the apparent scale. It may be a very small man holding an average sized wolf, or it could be a larger than average man holding a super huge wolf. Hard to tell. The man's position and posture tell me its a heavy load for him, and you can even see a piece of grass dangling from his hands where he scooped the wolf from the ground. You can also see what looks to be a bit of a bloody patch near the wolf's shoulder, and the forarms and paws seem to be fairly bloody.

As I said before, the only question I can raise for myself is one of apparent scale. I have learned not to trust everything I read, so I think I'm leaning towards the opinion of being mislead as to the actual size of the animal. However, I do not think it completely impossible that this is a very, very large animal.

Esav! You must have the baddest computer in the land! You put that up before I could get back to pg 1...Do you work for DOD?( If not maybe you should!) :D So HOW big was the actual wolf?

I call fake. Look at the position of the gloves and the man' arms. There is no way the man's left arm (on the right in the photo) would match up with where the left glove is located.

It could be or not, but where is the scale? in the second pic it could go 175 plus but I don't think 260 or 280.

I'm not sure how you do it, but I open a link like that in a new tab, then click right back to where I was in the previous tab.

point of view , that photo was taken from a low pov , like , by a kid , a little kid , that alone is going to make the dog look bigger than it probly really is .
