The Birth Of A Fighting Khukuri (UPDATE)

I'm the proud owner of one of these badboys....the epitome of wickedness.

Hello all, bumping this one up.
Got a call about an hour ago from Paul Long and he asked me to keep an eye on my email
as he sent me some pics of my sheath.
He'll be mailing it out to me tomorrow and from the looks of it I couldn't be more pleased.

Thank you so much for this fancy scabbard, Paul !
And I would be remiss if I didn't thank Jason and Joe as well for making this all happen.

Thanks guys, you're all three the very best in my book ! :)

WOW

I like the gator better than the Beaver tail

These are the best way to carry these blades IMHO

I am so glad this one is on its way to you and thank you so much for the kind words. In all my time here you have been nothing but a positive great guy and you are one of the people that make this place so special. Thanks Doug

Jason is hammering these out and we should have the next one out soon

Thanks everyone

No thanks are necessary, Joe.
I super like the beaver tail but really wanted to get the gator and I think it turned out fantastic.

Thank YOU for the kind words, I really don't deserve them and just enjoy hangin' out here with you guys.
I also agree these are the best carry options.
You and Jason and Paul are like our version the Three Musketeers ! :)

Doug

WOW!! AWESOME Doug!

You must be excited waiting for THAT bad boy! The gator looks great on the sheath.

Peter

Thank you very much, Peter, yes I am excited.
Your approval means a lot to me.

Doug

Eric I am a horrible model but here ya go :)

You can run it more vertical and hook it to your belt and the shoulder strap acts like a suspender

But hanging like in the photos is how I use the set up most the time. About where a sword would be

Just throw it over your shoulder and roll

You can also throw it across your back

Hey Joe... was looking at this thread again as I need to send some measurements to Paul for the shoulder strap....

However, just noticed that 'grip' on your right side... is that a pistola? More details man. I normally have my Ed Brown Kobra Carry inside my waist band when carrying... :)

None of my crappy pics, knife/sheath arrived safely a little while ago.
It's so very nice and a real handful, thanks for creating this dark monster, Jason.
The sheath is even better than anticipated, Paul.
Joe, many thanks to everyone involved in this project.
I couldn't be more pleased...WOW!

Eric

I carry a few guns but of late I have been carrying a 325 PD its a Scandium Titanium 45 ACP wheel gun that runs on moon clips

The grips are white Linen Micarta that Matt Disken layed up and then sent to Jimmy Badger who made the grips

Doug I am so glad you are pleased

I knew you would be

These really are that visceral and nasty :)

Please humor me and strap it on and give us a smile :)

Thx

^ That last line made me laugh and kinda choke on my coffee this AM... :) Strap it on... Ha

Never shot a .45acp in a revolver, but I bet it's a fine defensive sidearm. I rarely wear a sports jacket so my basic pistol coverage is a T-Shirt or wind breaker type jacket. Usually just a T-shirt or Button up type shirt. I KNOW that revolver would print like a big fat "HERE'S A GUN!!" sign on my side. :) One reason I love the 1911 package overall... Great trigger, slim design, easy to shoot and conceal, big bullet, 8+ rounds, etc... No wonder it's been so popular for over 100 years.

I'm planning to send Paul a strap of chord this week for my measurements so he can get my shoulder strap put together and I can 'strap it on' to see how it feels. :)

I'm a huge 1911 an but believe me with a light cover garment the big revolvers can disappear

Post up a pic of your Brown

Love um

Asked my wife to snap a few pics of me and my 'gun' for a fellow bladeforum friend... she gave me a funny look. Ha. But here's a few pics. This one has a pair of slim alumigrips and carried IWB in my Milt Sparks VMII... I have a few other holsters but this one always seems to be my go-to for my 1911's. Conceals really nicely w/a very light cover garment.
