The Birth Of A Fighting Khukuri (UPDATE)

What great excitement surrounding my first Khukuri. A cool breeze reinvigorating my love knife collecting. Thanks Jason and Joe!!!

Joe, great seeing you yesterday at the show.

I learned something from Joe (who I'm sure got it from Jason), that there is a special molecular bonding element in this run of 10 Khukuri's, never before attempted for inclusion in blade metal.

While he wouldn't mention the element, he did indicate that it is only at the moment of quench that the zombie-fying properties of this element bond with the blade material on a molecular level.

This unique feature, to be found only in these 10 special Khukuris, is what imparts to each, the unique ability to death-whack the zombie (irrespective of it's race, religion, sexual preference or ethnic background), though it only seems to manifest itself on the last day of October of each year.

Getting close :)

Awesome picture! It shows the skill.

May I ask what steel?

You are correct Bob and I guarantee it will glow blue in the presence of Zombies :)

Jason will always say its his steel when it comes out of the shop :) but I believe 5160

Yes , Jason does exhibit raw talent and forges like a freight train. Gotta love it .

Having just found out about this today, I am very excited and overly saddened at the same time.
I finally get to see the khukuri that I have been searching for and they are already gone.

Thanks Joe for the WIP pictures!
I don't know much about Jason but I admire him already.

Who's making the sheaths? Or do they come sans sheath?

Thank you so much and believe me it is very bitter sweet that the out cry for these is so great. I wish he had the time to make everyone that inquired one.
