The Birth Of A Fighting Khukuri (UPDATE)

There are a lot of knifemakers out there whose designs reflect their own capabilities and limitations, and then there are masters like Jason whose designs are guided solely by purpose and function. Take a hard look at these blades and the complex grinds used here. These are not simple flat grinds that you can just drag along your platen at one consistent angle. These grinds vary in steepness and height to optimize balance and cutting effectiveness all along the deeply recurved edge, and let me tell you a grind like this ain't easy to pull off. Not a lot of guys out there who could make a knife like this. Jason practically does it in his sleep.

I truly mean that. Jason could have sold three times the alotted amount but he would have been making the same Khukuri for 3 years :)
