I have a CDL and have to submit to DOT random drug screens. Just an fyi.
 
Just read Kevin's thread about updating members shipping addresses if need be, did not want to post in that thread, off topic, and did not want to clutter it up. But, the amount of work that he, Charlie, Jon and others have to put in, and with what they have put up with, is just incredible. They are too good for me, i would not take on that task for " All The Tea In China ", as my dear departed Dad would have said. When they are all done and delivered, take a well earned break lads, you all thoroughly deserve it. 🤝🎅.

Cheers Angus...are you in Aus...or the U.S.?
We have zero alcohol limit if driving a passenger vehicle...the good thing about my job is it gets me out of bed in the morning and stops me cracking the first beer at noon..My biggest hassle is how Im going to get time off in march to take The Countess to NZ...theres no one to take the helm....I'm literally irreplaceable...🤪🙄

Not even your dispatcher or transportation director?!?
At the three school districts I drove for (1 in San Bernardino County, CA; 2 in Clinton County, Iowa) the dispatchers and director of transportation were all required to have a CDL with the necessary endorsements to operate a school bus with passengers onboard.
They also had 2 or 3 standby drivers not assigned to any route to cover for a route driver if s/he called in sick, or for some other reason would not be able to do their morning or afternoon run. The standby drivers were also first in line for away games, and taking the kids to the museum, nuke plant, or other school extracurricular activity.

I work for a small family company in a regional coastal community...The town I drive to doesnt have a high school...so we bring them up to Narooma High....if one of the drivers has a sickie..the boss drives...if 2 of are out..his brother will drive....or the mechanic...we all have passenger authorised licences...
 
Just wanted to say thank you to Waynorth and Spark for all the hard work they are doing to make this happen.

I'm not ordering a knife from this round, as my knife budget for the year has been spent! But still wanted to tell you I appreciate all you do to make this hobby better, and make bladeforums a place I want to spend time (both of you).
