The BladeForums 2022 Traditional Knife Thread

Oh, I thought it was quite appropriate my friend :D
... if and when I see mine HA. Haven't seen hide nor hair of my Bunny yet.
Noted, some mailpersons are more reliable than others. So there's that

Now I feel better after my senior moment, and I am not even that senior yet. Scary... ;)

I wanted to add some notes about this Bunny Knife, now that I’ve had a few hours with it. If I’m being honest, I wasn’t terribly jazzed about the pattern choice at the onset because I thought it was essentially a barehead Pony Jack with a different shaped handle, and I already have a Pony Jack…. BUUUUUT, aside from being a nice memento created for the Forum, I really, really like this pattern. More than the Pony Jack.

Much like the Pony Jack, it’s a two blade jack with wood covers. That said, having seen the mock-up and the early photos, I think I was under the impression that the blades were going to be exactly the same size as the 68 pattern, but comparing the examples I now have side-by-side, the blades in this Bunny Knife are both each a tick larger than those of the 68 in a frame that is pretty much exactly the same length, and that’s definitely a plus to me. Additionally, the oblong barehead handle shape feels better to me in hand than the bolstered, equal-end PJ.

This one is definitely a winner in my book, even though I perhaps wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do, and it will be carried quite frequently. Thanks again to those who put it all together.

To those still patiently waiting, it’s worth it.

Some comparison photos, because who doesn’t like comparison photos:

Great comparison I was trying to imagine how big they are. Perfect carry size!

Thanks for the comparison, glad the bunny hit a sweet spot for you.

So should the 2023 knife
Whatever it ends up being

Be called the fox?
Cause it's immediately chasing the bunny?
