The Bura Bowie -- another make what you want. Pix . Make me an offer I can't refuse.

I just walked into this cantina and there was shouting and laughing going on. Thought I take a peek at what is happening.

Oh! Bura bowies. Nice little rascal. Looks like a metallic rottweiler.

I like bowies. This particular model has the makings of a winner.

Bill,
This Bowie knife certainly pulls together an awful lot from both sides of the pond. Q: Is that blade shape Eastern--or "Utah School?" Something to ponder.
Best as always,

Welcome to the Cantina Leo.:)

Your question is very intrigueing as it seems many basic thoughts were indeed thought of the world over.
Here's a good example if I can get it too post. I believe it's off of the H.I.Website as I found it in one of Uncle Bill's archived posts.
Check out the old Bowie type knives towards the center of the screen. One even resembles Bura's Bowie. I believe when it comes to knives and swords there is nothing new under the sun except perhaps for some of the outlandish blades that have no reasonable purpose except to look pretty and cut you if you aren't careful when holding and admiring them.:)

Well, there's one other category, knives and swords that look ugly and will break if you look at them wrong. For reasonable examples one need only to look at ebay. :D
