The Busse Combat Folder Has Become A Reality . . . And It Only Took 30 Years!!! . . . It Is Coming Friday, September 19, 2025 At 9:00 PM Eastern!!!

Can’t wait to see this thing!!! Lock looks like a mix of a Shark lock and Axis lock from the pics. I suspect there’s more to it than that though.

I wanna pull the trigger so badly, but cannot wrap my head around the handle thickness?

Is anyone else stumped by this or is it just me.

It's pretty thin, but I measured a couple of knives I have...

The original Spyderco Worker came in at 0.22 inches, even thinner.
(The G10 update measures 0.38 inch.)

You're getting an integral Ti handle, ball bearings, BLOCK lock, and decent size for a small, light, knife (3.5" blade / 4.7" handle). A gentleman's folder for Ground Troops.

Good info. I really want to pull the trigger, i think it could be a great little knife I just wish it was INFI. Im gonna shut up now, really not trying to hate.

Interesting. So is that screw exclusively used for the pocket clip or is it dual-purpose? Also curious where the second point of contact is to keep the clip from rotating. Will it have a machined channel like a Sebenza, or a secondary hole and tab like a Strider? Or something uniquely hog-like that surpasses my ima

Jerry Busse Jerry Busse Could you please provide a little feedback on this question? Much appreciated. By the way, knife is bad ass! I’ll be ordering one. I just hope the clip won’t spin.

Pretty excited about this one. My first integral folder, my thinnest in that size, and my first folder in AEB-L. 🥰 What a bunch of cool choices !

Jerry just does things right. It can take some time, but the Busse blades always turns out amazing in expected and unexpected ways. Like this folder, everyone expected it to have a robust lock and precise function and that it would have some classic Busse features, and in the end it did, but with some pleasant surprises. I mean Im sure Im not the only one who expected a thick, heavy chunk of a knife. No wonder this took so long, the final form is so well thought out.

Wow...this is awesome. I think Jerry knows that if he made it any more stout or thicker....us HOGs would be out back trying to split logs with them. I say it's an excellent gentleman's blade for sure....Jerry makes us tons of fixies to do the hard tasks. I bet this folder absolutely demolishes apples, opens boxes with ease, and cleans fingernails like no other folder. Kudos Jerry....thanks for this.

I give it a week before someone goes and tries to split a log with it...

I was all in until I measured some of my other folders that feel a little too thin for me... my thinnest is 3/8"
I truthfully can't shell out the $ for a knife i know will be to thin for my liking. Blade is good, but throw some scales on to get it to at least 3/8 and then il grab one...

My thinnest modern knife is a Spyderco Stretch 2XL, .118" thick, but it has a 4" blade. Outstanding cutter.

Just measured the 2024 BF knife, main blade: 0.098" thick at the spine / ricasso, and a 3.4" blade length. Smaller traditionals are thinner. I also have several traditionals in 12C27, a steel rather similar to AEB-L.

That's how I think about this new knife - a modern folder with a traditional blade on Busse steroids. I have plenty of fat modern knives, this will be a very welcome change. Love it.
