That is a mud hole...

New knives WIPs or something to wet my mouth with?

Decided that yesterday I should go mtn biking... had to avoid a huge black berry vine at the last second and it didn't go over well.. CRASH! I'm licking my wounds today... no sleep last night +_= I'm frazzled. No concusion though.. I think.. biggest bruise I've ever had on my thigh.. knee is trashed. shoulder is trashed... broke my pinkie! Pinkies hurt.. holy crap..

Up side is, my almost three yr old is almost potty trained, so no ass wiping required!

Enjoy your day, and keep em sharp---Oh, haha maybe 50yrds before crash I was thinking, I should have a machete out and trim the trail as I ride down it.. LOL that would have been bad... O_O

Sloth, Heal fast brother! funny, I crashed yesterday too. Not nearly as good as your crash though. I adjusted the cleat on my shoe earlier in the day then some DB in his DB car cut me off and my cleat did not release. I had to laugh at myself after I got done yelling at the DB.
 
Yuck, cleats are the devil :S. I have jack shit pedals, spikes to shins baby!...

See, I wasn't planning on crashing! :D. My superman was more like a swan dive to pile driver... Front brake locks too damn hard apparently hehehe. My bursa is mad..

I need a 4" Ti fixed blade.. Bush craft style o_O. Daniel!,,,
 
Sloth, my last great crash was also due to a blackberry bush that had encroached onto an off camber turn...I went wide to avoid it, trail was sandy and my rear wheel went off the edge! Bike went down the ledge into the creek, I jumped the other way and latched onto the berry bushes I was trying to avoid, lol! I don't have a geared MTB anymore, so my trail riding is at a much more manageable pace these days.

Daniel, I've settled on this blank btw... S781-W-MHX still have to figure out some other components but now I have an idea of what it will be based on.

Gdamn black berries! I need to go back and dump gas on the whole area and burn it all! lol mmmm berries though are goods...

I wouldn't have cared much though this one was almost an inch in diameter I would say, and I feared it's enormous skin opening thorns...

My dog once ran through a huge vine of this nature.. damn near need 7inches worth of stiches on his belly. He hurdles all vines to this day in fear :D

More Ibu, tequila and bed... Last night was sleep, roll over and wake to pain.. repeat about 5 times.. I'm beat!

I've actually been itching to go mtb'ing again. It would be nice to take the wife and her rig too. She's got a nice little bike, fully customized with XTR and hand built wheels, tuned vintage fork, etc. She could care less, but I really enjoyed building it for her and it always works when it needs to!

Anyways, y'all had better make it a great night!

Bike wrecks! I'm up now as my separated shoulder is killing me! That downhill ride a couple weeks back did not help. I still want a mountain bike though. Next year!

Sloth I hope you heal up fast! No pics here but I'll have some soon... I'm finishing up 30 knives today. :)

It's getting cold here already... 52 F right now!

Xander that rod blank looks sweet! I like the white... will be following the build. That's a good buy, I'm saving the page to my favorites...

It has been non-stop here, yesterday I ground 30 sheaths. Today I will sharpen 32 knives! Once these are out I have 3 RF2's close and a pile of CPM-10V blades to fit and grind. Most of the 10V is profiled to Kwaiken blades but I also have some 10V friction folders I will make. I'm thinking CF scales for them...

Hey guys!
You bike guys need to watch out, sounds like black berry bushes are leaping out in front of you all!
Work has been kicking my ass, and my little girl is cutting teeth so it has been some sleepless nights.
I have done very little knifemaking lately but 8 ft of steel just showed up from the baron so time to get moving.

My almost 6yr old boy just lost his first tooth! He was super excited :E I was pulling on it for the past days and then just twisted it out last night.. spitting blood and smiling :D

And... my almost 3yr old is potty training, almost done.. using the toilet! It's a miracle! I CAN'T WAIT!!! NO MORE DIAPERS EVER (until I'm old and crusty...)
