Yo yo yo yo yo!

:D

Good morning guys!

Today is a big mailing day with almost 2 dozen knives and tools going out!

I'm also finalizing designs with the new Kwaiken and maybe a KCT coming up as soon as possible. Folder parts are ordered so that is back on soon too! :D Have a good one guys!

i always love getting stuff in the mail, i write a list in my notebook and check em off as they come in. Prolly super OCD on my part haha.

Today is my hump day as I am off tomorrow. Next week everyone at work is gone so just me. I wish they would just let me work from home the entire week :/

Ooo! Now I can start the anticipation game with the building mail delivery! :D
Look out soon! :D

That's awesome, I have lists for everything.

Enjoy the day off! I hope you are liking the new job.

Good morning guys!

I'm finishing up the Nakago run today... tomorrow I have the massive fighter/chopper and a matching Petty/Wabocho set in natural canvas micarta to complete.

I've had those 2 .315" A2 Tantos ready for a good while now... they are nearly impossible to photograph with the steep angles in every direction! I've done 2 sets of photos now and they just look dark. Big stuff is hard to photograph indoors. Pics soon! They look incredible.

So... almost a dozen knives ready, it will be a big week! :D

D, never fear, X is driving the Short Bus at mach speed all loaded up with studio lights and some of those cool old Olan Mills backgrounds. I hear Liam is soupin up his drone for high mountain aerial shots too.
This stupendous event calls for Dio ! :D

...gets off X's short bus and smiles for Olan Mils Photo Co... :D looking for drone... :D

I'm just in from the shop. started dinner up (pork chili stew!) and am about to fall asleep on the couch even though it's only been 5 minutes! :D These Nakago fixed blades came out incredible, I spent way too much time making them nice but they sure look good and cut like lasers. Pics tomorrow!

Sup fellas!

It's been a productive day off, got the bathroom light fixed (bad ballast) cleaned the kitchen (was supposed to last night) did some x-mas shopping for the wife, got a rifle buttstock primed and first coat of paint on, went shoe shopping with the wife after she got home, had greasy pan burgers, cleaned the kitchen again, and next thing I know a 1.5L of brut and a 6 pack of beer lay empty on the counter! Those mimosas sure can add up quick on you!

Here's the GI issue A2 butt stock I got the first coat of paint on today. The paint looks funky, but it's a "hammered" finish kinda like a hand hammered sheet of metal. Color is a deep charcoal gray, nearly black. It needs one more coat, then will be satin finished. Will do the rest of the rifle furniture eventually as well.

Sorry for the shoddy photo, but see above reference to drinks....lol!

I've got to get more of this paint, had about 1/3 of a can left and it totally crapped out on me! Rifle is going to be A2 Service Rifle build, basically 1980's looking M16 style, round hand guard, straight magazines, no muzzle device, etc, except it's going to be match grade components through and through.

Back to work tomorrow then off for the weekend! Considering taking my dad and a pair of 6mm rifles out for a 1000 yard session on Saturday. Don't know yet though. I haven't shot bolt action seriously in a while, been focused on the AR15 pretty much the last year.

Hope y'all have made it great!

Xander did you see the new aero precision lower m16a4 special edition? My buddies and me want to build one up. I promised myself I need to sell whatever sits in the safe before I start a new build. Might do a 2 gun competition at the end of the month if I can swing the time in Sacto. My buddy did the surefire 3 gun in Las Vegas a couple weeks back and he did decent. Our other buddy won the semi-pro division and is most likely going to get on the 3-gun radar very soon.

X, That stock is going to look coooool ! Reminds me of the toy M16 I had when I was a kid.
D, NAKAGO.......CHECK!
Have a good one y'all.

I have seen them, I seriously thought about buying one. I like my Aero Precision receivers, well the lower anyways. Their A4 uppers have some issues with the feed ramps being a little short, but some minor work with a cone grinding wheel on a Dremel or a round needle file will take care of that. Depending on what caliber you go with, I have heard of some issues of mags being sticky in the mag well of Aero lowers too. But otherwise, for the price, they can't be beat! The new build is gonna be a sleeper, plain Jane looking A2, but fully match ready and capable! I'm trying to decide between Shilen, Wilson or Kreiger barrels right now.

Kev, it will be just like your toy M16, except this one will go BANG! This color choice was one of those moments where I just looked at what I had available... think it looks pretty cool!

Weekend off!!! WooHoo!!! Dunno what I'm gonna do with it, but it's gonna be fun! Thinking about a BBQ with the neighbors, usually means a couple bottles of tequila too, lol! (Sloth, don't worry, it will be Caza all the way!)

Making it great and having a blast! Ain't nobody got time to be stressed over nothin'!

Daniel - the Boot knife arrived. It's awesome. I'll try to get some pictures done of it soon. Also, I'll start making it some pants.

^ Good to hear! Thanks and do enjoy!

Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tequila... sounds good! Moonshine here. :D

I've got the fire going and it's nice. I've been a bit too busy as usual and can't wait to get into the shop tomorrow. I have many knives to ship too....

Rocking the Link Wray! My Telecaster build turned out awesome... I'll have pics once it is fully completed. (need to install pickup and knobs once I decide my paint is right...)

I've been trying to get a KCT and Kwaiken design out for a bit... I might stick to folders for a while but have those still planned. I'm seriously considering a lightweight flipper (a la Carbide Edge fricky) at the moment.

Have a great night everyone!

Damn, it's like California decided it was Winter all of a sudden! Jen is going to make me turn the heater on if this keeps up.
D, those Tanto's look killllllllllller!

Heater! :D It was nice here until about a week ago and it is now bitter cold, 21 F this morning. I've got the fire going so that is good.

:D yesterday I put a small piece of Pinion Pine in the stove and it just about caught my roof on fire... my chimney thermometer maxed out and I pulled the wood out with some kitchen tongs into a metal container! I've never seen anything like it, it was apparently very soaked in sap and looked like napalm burning!

Thanks on the tantos too! I went through belts like crazy on those but it was well worth the finishing time.
