Ok, dumb question... as only a registered user, am I allowed to have a signature line? If so, can one of you kind folks show me where to update mine? Where do I go in the user CP to edit it?
 
Nope, blue names don't get sig lines. I think basic members do though. To edit your profile, click on "forum actions" at the top and then edit profile in the drop down.

Morning gentlemen! Time for me to start hustling and get some more side work. I've got some new goodies on the Credit Card that need paying off. Including that new rigging knife backpacker. :D Damn you Daniel... you and your budget busters.

I really need to get a Rigging backpacker to go with the Teak Rigger, only fitting my first backpacker be the cousin to my first DFK! Hope there are some left next week!

Hey all.
On my phone this AM. Stupid Microsoft Windows on my computer decided to upgrade itself to Windows 10. Now it's locked up with the perpetual circle of doom. Gaaaaakkk!
 
Ugh, auto upgrade? Thats fak'd. I purposely bought win8 a month ago after XP stopped working with 2 programs I need. I keep getting the FREE UPGRADE reminder to Win10, and I don't want 10... bloated pile that it is...

Hope my PC can hide from auto upgrade...

I really need to re-up my membership... out of respect for the forum I'm not doing anything sales related until I'm paid back up. Soon come!

I've been in tough spot as far as getting my membership here renewed and Sloth357 hooked me up with a full-on Knifemaker membership. I am just floored and don't even know what to say... besides THANKS! It means a lot and we can keep this place going!! :cool:

Sloth bought my very first knife over 5 years ago and we go way back... thanks Buddy for everything you have done here, I literally would not be here without you.
 
Aw, I'm blushing.. wait thats the alcohol :D No worries/problem D. I have 7 frikkies lined up on a shelf here in the office too! Not to mention a few choppers..

I'll see if we can prod Spark a bit and get this membership active.. don't understand why it takes so long, but life happens... Cheers mate!
 
Iam no saint... :} Just keeping D's status up while he is gathering ammo. He's worked with me on my requests, so this is the least I can do. The membership should have gone through over the weekend...

Side note.. we are looking for a new place to move into, and the more we search the more we realize we are already in a place that is nearly everything we want.. more house doesn't make for a better life.. Newer (insert object) doesn't make life better.. Sure, to look around at all new solid wood cabinets and marble wouldn't be BAD lol, but isn't going to make happiness..

Sharing a bit here and there and saving for the next generation makes me more happy than new stuff.. (Ok, a few new knives help a bit :D )


So don't forget:

Looking forward to the weekend and some shop time. Mail Call yesterday... received some beautiful pieces of walnut, maple and the cocobolo I was looking for. I plan to cut and sand a few sample pieces of the coco to figure out how to finish it. It is super oily wood, so my typical Tru Oil won't work so well.

I'm a big advocate that hours spent in the shop 'screwing around' do not count toward the total hours of a man's life. Who's with me on this?
