The Cheburkov Channel--Picture & Discussion Thread

The magic of Cheburkov drew me back. I may be persuaded to purchase the red/black carbon fiber frieze in stock. I just know I will get that "look" from my wife! ( another toy? )

That's a nice collection you've got there. Quite a bit after variety from Cheburkov. Some makers have 1 or 2 designs that hit and they leave it there.

Thanks..they actually have 4 or 5 more designs in folders and many fixed blades.

the truth is, even a successful maker like cheb is just making a living for his family, employees & their families

they make a fine product, full stop

no politics involved, I still like what they do
it's too bad govts & whatnot decide to throw stuff in chaos, truly

It seems like Cheburkov came up as a " blue collar" worker ( car repair, construction & metal work). He lived like us and I would would not refrain from buying a knife from any member here who lived the same life.
Just noticed Recon1 and Knife Center have not pulled Russian products and we should not boycott them either.

Not sure if it’s just me, but I found my cheburkov folders all have very light detent.
That appears to be the case with mine also..but enjoy the smooth action.
I just checked mine and, yes, they're also on the light side. None of my three flippers--Scout, Voron, Hudson--will shake out, though. My single thumb stud Strizh does, with some effort, but the blade also seems to have drifted a little toward the show side over the years as it's broken in and I suspect it will simply require an adjustment to re-center and tighten up a bit, which will require me finally breaking the thread-locker with my heat gun.

Anyway, I've always preferred flippers whose sure deployment depends more on optimal engineering design proportions than stiff detents which yield the "out like a rocket" action (think ZT--no knock on them, just a different sorta thing). The lighter I can press the tab and still get a positive flip, the better the design mechanics IMHO.

Texted them this morning ( they have a fixed blade ready to go )...business as usual.
I've got one on the way--DHL like your Cobra--shipped out this morning, expected delivery next Tuesday. According to the DHL website, inbound delivery to Russia has been suspended, but outbound is still good to go. All shipments from the Workshop are insured and I paid PP G&S to a credit card so I expect I'll either get my knife or a refund. Obviously, the former is my preference by a long shot. 🤷‍♂️🙏

Glad to hear on both counts...new knife and successful shipping.

Good to know. I have a pike coming in soon. Hope everything works out too.
