I wish you luck.Hopefully my Frieze will finally show up today. I didn't know what the deal was with DHL Express. Alex sent my knife to my PO Box, and they won't drop it off there. DHL said the deliverer tried to call, but that doesn't show on my phone. I've been all week trying to get it delivered to my home as the website has been no help and phone contact was difficult. After numerous attempts I did get two phone conversations and assurances twice that it would be delivered earlier this week to no avail. I did get multiple contacts by their "undeliverable" team on Wednesday, I responded immediately by text and email, and had a phone conversation yesterday that assured me I'll get it today.
The knife traveled from Pavlovo, to Nizhny Novgorod, to South of Moscow, to North of Moscow, to Bahrain, to Liepzeig, to Ontario, to NYC, to Boston, to Pentucket in 6 days, and now it's taking about the same time to get delivered in-State. Fingers crossed I'll have it today.
The Frieze finally arrived today, taking longer to move about 100 miles in-state than it did to make all those stops above and come half way around the world. Just a couple late day pics here for now, as I've only had a few hours with it since getting home after work. I will say that as well as being relieved that its long journey is finally over, I'm already finding quite a bit to like about the knife. Congrats! Looks like a great slicer. Love those long blades from cheburkov knives. They know how to make a slicy blade yet still keep it strong. The Frieze finally arrived today, taking longer to move about 100 miles in-state than it did to make all those stops above and come half way around the world. Here's a few pics of the new Frieze with the bead I'd ordered beforehand with the knife in mind. It's beating up the clip a bit, but I'm really kinda OK with it.

Nice Voron! Is that CF one side or both?At last these finally arrived. They traveled half the world first.View attachment 1773278
Thanks..only one side. Wish they did both like Cobra.Nice Voron! Is that CF one side or both?
I've seen one for sale that's red CF both sides. I expect its lockside is like the presentation side--basically a full-thickness slab with an overplayed scale. I'd like to see a Voron Lightweight, similar to my Hudson, with a composite-only show side (my Hudson's is CF) and also would very much like to seeThanks..only one side. Alex's creativity may lead to some of your fine ideas in the future. All of mine are appreciated for their form and function and quality of production has never been an issue.I've seen one for sale that's red CF both sides. Alex produce some true liner locks in some of his patterns just for something different. Not that I'm complaining about what's offered at this point nor about those that I have....
And yes, the Voron is definitely a loooong knife. My Hudson and the new Frieze are both 4+" and the Raven's got 'em both beat.I like mine a lot and hope you come to appreciate yours too.
