The Cheburkov Channel--Picture & Discussion Thread

I just found out it is near impossible to purchase from Cheburkov directly. They told me it is impossible for them to receive payment from the States. Yet they would have no trouble sending knives to us.

I wouldn't mind picking up a small Strizh in CF to EDC, hopefully Lamnia will get a batch in, didn't really think about reaching out to them to see what the situation looks like for them, just signed up for the email notification when they're back in stock. Time to send an email. :)

I saw they had one small carbon fiber strizh and a timascus available when I checked for someone else this a.m.

Just picked up this Scout and Russian from a small U.S. dealer who surprisingly had them in stock. The actions seem a little stiff which I assume will break in with some repeated flipping. No worries as I just love the design of both knives - things of beauty!

Also have an Orca and Hudson Light inbound. Thought I should jump on these now as availability direct from the Workshop sadly has been "sanctioned."

Very nice catch. Russian is very comfortable in my hand and the blade is a real slicer.

I have a Russian on the way. I can’t wait to try it

I recently picked up an S125V Russian. I didn't expect absolute perfection, but I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed in the fit and finish for such an expensive knife.

The backspacer is not flush along the back of the scales in all areas. There was a small gap between the scales and the backspacer as well, as the hidden pin holding the backspacer in place wasn't faced correctly during machining, leaving it too long. The fitment between the blade and the pivot barrel is also quite loose, but at least it isn't leading to vertical play or lock issues. The clip is absolutely unusable on the pockets of my pants, even after I tuned the tension a little. The detent is also softer than I'd prefer, but I'll admit that could be intentional by the maker.

I wanted to try out a Strizh but I think I'll probably stay away now.

Cheburkov in general has been good quality knives to me. There are things I am not entirely happy with like all my cheburkovs have very light detent and can be shake open easily except for a custom pike. The blade is where it shines. They usually have long thin slicy blades. IMO they are great knives for use.

It's sad that people have to suffer for the actions of governments. While this is certainly small potatoes compared to what some people are facing right now, it still sucks.

I hope Lamnia or other international retailers can help to make these knives available in the States. I had been raising funds for either a Mini Russkiy or a sculpted Frieze. The latter was literally in stock within 24 hours of me being ready and then "poof". At the very least, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Sorry to hear about the quality of your knife. I do agree about the clip but have not had any other issues.

It's all good. I still like it for the most part, but I definitely don't believe they're a cheaper shirogorov or whatever else people say on this forum.

Two big Alpha Blades: The familiar Raven and the Killer Whale. I've looked through all 16 pages of this great thread and no pix yet of the Orca, unless I missed them, so here it is!

Neither knife has a lanyard hole, so both are set up with 550 cord fobs - and Maverick beads - tied around the rear standoffs. Not sure this is sustainable as the blade tip is very close to the cord when closed. Probably need to use #95 cord around the standoff and link it somehow to a 550 lanyard. Not sure how to do that - any suggestions would be appreciated via PM.

Nice blades. Awesome slicers.

I really like the large CF strizh but can only find one US dealer with it available (for a significant markup i might add) so im thinking about pulling the trigger on one in bronze ano Ti with marbled CF inlay and a Damascus blade. This would be my first Cheburkov and a maker I've wanted to check out for some time. I did notice the clip and backspacer no longer have the milled lines and the small version is now on bearings. Not sure if the large is still on washers or not if anyone has any more info about this model or places to purchase in addition to the Finnish site which i have used a few times with good results. Hoping to add a strizh to the collection!

Hi
My strizch runs on bearings. I have a demascus ( ZDI 1016 ). Flips well and shaves your arm right out of the box.
Skiff makes bearings if you feel like playing with them.
