The Cheburkov Channel--Picture & Discussion Thread

Not trying to nose in the conversation but I have purchased 5 from Lamnia is Finland. Two day free shipping believe it or not. In total I have purchased 8 knives from them...never a problem.
Hopefully the Russian situation is resolved and we can order direct again.

One thing about the wolf that I noticed…. The show side of the handle is significantly thicker than the lock side. The cf and the ti on that side are each as thick as the ti lock side of the handle. My ocd is in high gear because of it. Ha.
Cheburkov typically added an overlay to a framelock's show side for many years which results in extra/unequal thickness. My CTek Voron is like that.

I've also seen a Voron done similarly with CF both sides. More recently, Alex has started making Lightweight versions of some of his models, like my CF Hudson, reducing both weight and thickness as well as not causing undue OCD attacks for certain owners. 😏

Picked up a 2021 wolf the other day in blue/black cf with a zladinox 1016 Damascus blade as my second cheburkov. It’s flipping beautiful! My first one was a 2015 scout. I have to say that, for the price, you won’t find many better than a cheburkov.

Good looking wolf you have there and diggin the CF!

Well i have another Cheb in route after finding a version of the Strizh on the exchange I was originally chasing with the CF scales. It was made a few years ago and has the milled lines on the clip and backspacer which I’m hoping means its on washers and a M390 blade so should make a good user.

The large CF Strizh came in the other day and Is everything i was hoping for. It is Interesting comparing it to my Ti/damascus Strizh that was made only 2 years later and seeing all the changes Cheburkov did in that time.

Its like a completely different knife other than sharing the same basic outline/profile. Slightly different grinds, and bearings vs washer pivots. D2335CFA-BB74-4697-819F-4504AE8EEF34.jpeg
Flat Ti vs Contoured CF scales, the clips are a little different and with milled lines on the CF version’s clip and backspacer.

The detent is much firmer on the Ti/bearing version and does not have a detent ramp like the CF version with obviously different actions between the two, along with some other small details. As someone I think mentioned in this thread already the CF Strizh is kind of like a Russian version of the North Arms Skaha 2 so i added a pic for comparison also.

ferider ferider , Chronovore Chronovore , and myself are doing a Friday Frieze-out over at the EDC Thread . I got a couple extra pics of mine heading over to our home gym this morning, so I figured I'd post 'em over here. I usually clip a smaller knife into my T-shirt pocket when doing my cardio workouts, but it's pretty amazing how light this 4.25" bladed big boy is.

I'll get mine up a little later. I just got done with a project.

I know this is the Cheburkov thread, but I figured y'all might know about the Biryukov knives. Specifically, how are the detents on these?

Also, does anyone have a No 4 or No 7? I'm curious to know how close the heel of the blade gets to the back of the scales when closed.

Morning
This is the sigma one. I find it functions very similar to my large strizh ( they are about the same size ). The blade finish is not as polished.
Will post both together later.

I went with this version first because I thought it may be a gamble. I would buy another but they are a bit too big for me.

I've got 3 Biryukovs, but perhaps it's best for this thread's concentration to remain on Cheburkov knives. I'd be happy to share my thoughts on Andrey's knives by PM or if someone were to start a Biryukov thread.
