The Cheburkov Channel--Picture & Discussion Thread

Hi
My strizch runs on bearings. I have a demascus ( ZDI 1016 ). Flips well and shaves your arm right out of the box.
Skiff makes bearings if you feel like playing with them.
Hi is your a large or small and is it the one you posted a while back in this thread or could you post a pic? i own folders on bearings and washers so doesn't matter that much i suppose just curious what to expect on the large. The one im looking at is ZDI Damascus as well and from what ive gathered its a 300 layer Russian Damascus with a nice polished look. I also noticed the inlay looks to be attached with external hardware now vs internal hidden hardware before. I suppose i could always get the CF version later on too or even a small version. Maybe i should just go for it lol everyone here seems to be pretty happy with their Chebs.

My large is plain ti.
Here is large and small.
Both drop shot.
Cf is only on show side of small.

Very nice and thank you for the pics. I have pined over a Cheb long enough...just placed an order and I’ll be sure to post pics when it arrives! It is a combination of features from your large and small as seen in the makers stock photo below but with a marbled CF inlay. Looking forward to getting it in hand!

The small is on washers, I've never owned a large but I'm pretty sure it runs on bearings.

The Strizh arrived the other day and now that I’ve had a chance to become acquainted with my first Cheburkov its pretty nice! The action is great and the marbled CF plays well with the beautiful stainless damascus in the light. Wasn't sure how I would feel about the overlay compared to a flush fit inlay, and had actually been scoping the full CF Strizh, but went with what was in stock which arrived in a week. The overlay adds to the ergos and looks good while doing it. Also happy i went with the bronze ano which looks nice.

Only cut some small stuff so far but it carries well with pretty good fit and finish, dead on centering, and vault like lock up which is impressive for a liner lock. Definitely some tight tolerances as i can’t see down in the pivot to confirm what feels like an “on bearings” action.

Only thing I’m not stoked about is the sharpened area near the plunge already has a smile going on but don't think I want to risk shipping it back to Finland so oh well i guess. Anyhow it’s still a sweet blade and I’m keeping my eyes open for that full CF version to become available.

My large cf strizch also runs on bearings. I kind of wished it was on washers. I have found out that taco bearings works very well for my Cheburkovs.

Picked up a 2021 wolf the other day in blue/black cf with a zladinox 1016 Damascus blade as my second cheburkov. It’s flipping beautiful! My first one was a 2015 scout. I have to say that, for the price, you won’t find many better than a cheburkov.
Pix or it didn't happen. 😏

Ha. I tried. Can’t upload from my phone on here anymore. However, check out breathtaking steel. That’s where I got it. They still have a handful cheburkovs and biryukovs in stock. https://breathtaking-steel.com/

Got an imgur account just now. Pics are posted
Not seeing any pics. Just copy the BB code at Imgur and paste it into the text box here.

Edit: Just scrolled up and found the pic you edited in. Nice knife--congrats!

One thing about the wolf that I noticed…. The show side of the handle is significantly thicker than the lock side. The cf and the ti on that side are each as thick as the ti lock side of the handle. My ocd is in high gear because of it. Ha.

Thanks for sharing. I did not know about this source. They seem to be a trusted seller and also do business on Etsy.

I've been interested in the Biryukov knives but haven't tried one yet. I probably have to see just the right one. An unfortunate feature of many of their knives, as well as Cheburkov and Shirogorov, is unnecessarily thick blade stock. This is true of premium knives in the American market too, including Olamic. I have never seen the benefit of 0.15" blade stock in a folding knife.
