Yep!! Sharp is a wonderful thing!!Looks like you’ve got the perfect edge now!
lol So true ! No matter how much I love a knife if it’s not sharp it gets moved to the back of the line or immediate sharpening lol.Yep!! Sharp is a wonderful thing!!![]()

I bet Charlie would use the bottom of his porcelain coffee cup just to show you how it’s done rightI would love to be sitting at the table watching you do this Charlie! To be sure to pick ups a lot of knowledge just watching this!
I'm no expert sharpener, Duncan; just your average shade-tree mechanic!!I would love to be sitting at the table watching you do this Charlie! To be sure to pick ups a lot of knowledge just watching this!
Thanks for the kind words!! I, also, like the features you mention, Tyson!!This really is one of the best-looking new pocketknives in years. I normally say that I prefer single-blade knives, but what I really prefer are single-spring knives. (This is all closely related to how I like 2-spring stockmen, but have no interest at all in 3-spring stockmen - a single spring stockman is amazing!) Nice work fromwaynorth and GEC, again. Congrats to all of you who've picked one of these up. This is an instant classic.
Ha Ha!! As much as Bill can be influenced!! He has strong views on what a knife should be!! Fortunately I manage to stay within his parameters - usually!!Waynorth is easily my favorite brand of currently produced factory-made traditional knives.
One of the very nice side effects ofwaynorth Charlie's great leadership in pattern selection, material choices and design is that we also get GEC branded knives made in those patterns.
As much as I love my City Stock, I also really enjoy my Tidioute 81 in Ebony and NF 81 in violet bone. Similarly, I really cherish my Ebony and white bone Riders, but also quite enjoy the 86 sheepfoot Bull Hide Carver.
I don't know if we would have seen a single spring stockman without Charlie's efforts.
Maybe I'm wrong, but Charlie seems to influence other GEC production in a fantastic way.
Bravo!
I'm flattered - - and pleased that you like and use it!!I’ve had a few traditional knives pass through my mail box this week that I really reallly like and they have yet to kick my CS out of my pocket and that says a lot. So I can proudly say staying loyal even after the honeymoonGoing on a week now if my memory serves me correctly
