The City Stock!!!

Here is the "Grandfather" of the City Stock!! Several companies made a version of this single-spring Stockman, Case and Remington among them! I was lucky to find this very good example several years ago!! Schrade Cut Co made very beautiful knives in the 1920s and 1930s!!View attachment 2694224View attachment 2694226View attachment 2694227
I've chatted with Bill over the years, proposing this pattern, among many others!!
I'm sure glad he opted for this one, and created it in his usual competent, professional style! He's the best production knifemaker on the Planet, IMO!!!
I don't know about you fellow Porchsters, but this knife is in my top 10 for sure!!!
(So many knives - so little time!!!) 😁
I only wish the GEC version had the snap this one has!! (I'm assuming this one has a great vintage action)

Can’t help showing some City Stock love! Came late to the game TMT and appreciate the deal!! The shield side of this specimen is a little lighter than most photos I’ve seen and I prefer the contrast with the jigging.
That's the lightest one I have seen!! Has it been buffed?? Either way it looks great!!

I purchased it from someone who tries to buy multiples of everything from different dealers. To my knowledge it’s not been buffed. The pile side is a bit darker and more typical of what everyone else has. I love the atypical obverse!

Like most all my City Stock Brothers here mine has not missed a day of carry since its arrival

Johnnythefox Johnnythefox John ...The remake movie? Hmmmm...why?.
Also been watching The Goodies on prime....episodes that haven't been available for many years...classic...their commentary on government and social lunacy is timeless.
