The two blades with the single spring on a pattern that’s comparable in size to a 86/93/47 is a real joy for me. I love slim knives and single blades usually so this fits right in and it’s great to have that extra blade!KOTY is an honor!! No etch!
It's a catch 22, hate to see it disappear but love to see some patina/
It's my knife of the year at the moment. The only thing that could possibly knock it off would be a lamb...maybe with some kind of flat cap like jigging![]()
The etch has prevented me from using a handful of knives, I have certain knives I'm collecting for my son using different criteria, the bone and jigging on this makes it one of them, infeel the etch is part of its identity, now if it just said Northfield meh,I have 3 knives that came from the factory with out an etch including the latest 32.but truth be told 2 of the knives from my son's collection have been put in the user pile because I ain't getting any younger,so maybe the city stock is next lol.No etch!

I agree 100%. I was absolutely and overly thrilled when Charlie’s City Stock showed up in my mailbox. The two blades with the single spring on a pattern that’s comparable in size to a 86/93/47 is a real joy for me. What I enjoy most on this knife though has to be the fact that it doesn’t have a half stop. It’s a joy to use and very fun indeed and my KOTY for so many more reasons!!![]()
Not on this knife, Jack!!hey Charlie, curiously were half stops ever on the table for the design discussion?
Not on this knife, Jack!!
I agree. The action is phenomenal. And the style of jigging and the finish just feels warm in hand. It’s been in my pocket since it’s arrival. This knife is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! It carries so well with the slim frame. The bone, color, and jigging are as good as it gets. I usually prefer half-stops, but this one has such smooth action that I really like the cam tang. Well done all around.

It wouldn’t for me for sure but maybe 2025I agree 100%. I was absolutely and overly thrilled when Charlie’s City Stock showed up in my mailbox.
There are so, so many things to be appreciated about this model. Size, cam tangs, long pull, two blade single spring, shield, blade shapes and fit and finish is superb. The color hue is fantastic, too!
I’m a slim knife fan as well, and generally only buy single blade traditionals (exception of the 62 pocket carver which is awesome thin for 3 blades).
I don’t even think a Lambsfoot would take KOTY for me. I have one of Charlie’s Lambs and love it, but the City Stock is really something special.
Woah woah woah….using the City Stock for farm tasks? I don’t know if that’s allowed Jackwaynorth Charlie I found another use for the city stock. Nicking membranes to help a stuck chick out. 2 I’ve had to get out in 3 days.
