The CKF Kremlin

Good luck tracking one down, this one is the only one I've seen, and I only ended up with it because I was buying another knife from the guy and I asked him what else he might move. I finally landed a full custom Gavko not long ago.

Yes, it's a Sickness...owning three of the same model.
Pictured here is the bronze one I just got (#72)...pictured with a buffed model that I've had for some time (#253).
When I first saw this model, I thought, "No way".
After getting my first one, I knew I'd be buying more.
It's aesthetically balanced (small details repeating), as well as feeling GREAT in hand.
The third one...that's serial #2 and it doesn't see the light of day.

Why I am a huge fan of CKF-
My absolute favorite number 1 knife is the DCPT-TANO (5). I was lucky enough to get a lead from another BF member that one was available on the FB CKF group.
I quicky applied to join and contacted the owner who resides in Poland. After several set backs and a long delay in Customs on their side, I was finally able to get it in my hands.
I took it apart to clean it and upon reassembly (Yep🤬🤬🤬!!!) I marred the last screw!!! I was using a piece of silk between the hex bit and the screw so as to not leave any marks and the bit was not seated correctly. (Why isn't there a company making hardened plastic / non- marring bits for just this reason? )
Devastated is an understatement.
I contacted birdave explaining what I had done and he suggested reaching out to Mike at CKF. He had needed replacement screws and Mike had helped him out👍
HUGE THANKS to Mike Kulygin who amazingly (very lucky for me) located a replacement and was kind enough to hang on to it for 7 months and bring it to the Texas Blade Show where I had a friend pick it up and mail it to me.
So today, I was able to make up for my error and switch out the screw!!!!
Humongous THANKS to birdave (my go to on anything CKF) and Mike Kulygin for going above and beyond 💪💪💪💪

Glad you made out with the replacement!
And thank you for the kind words, Truly appreciated.
That model is Definitely one of my favorite CKF models.
And a shout out to Mike K., also!

That Ratax was a SCORE😄👍

100%, I'm liking it even more than I thought I would. It is a little funny to me that the Ratax and Sokosha are considered primarily Marfione collabs when 90% of the design seems to be Konygin/Malyshev, but the end result is everything I could ask for and more. Never had a desire for a Microtech manual but they've been doing some great collabs. The CKF's obviously feel more refined than the Rikes, but I do think the Socom Bravo is more visually impressive than the Sokosha. The Ratax blows the Anax out of the water on all counts IMO.

Finally arrived and it’s a pristine specimen. Which is almost a shame as that won’t last because I plan to use the hell out of it!IMG_8620.jpegIMG_8625.jpegIMG_8623.jpegIMG_8621.jpegIMG_8628.jpegIMG_8635.jpegIMG_8638.jpegIMG_8639.jpeg
Here it is next to a couple of its Shiro brothers for size comparison. The action is buttery smooth with an incredibly satisfying click and snap upon deployment. The blade profile is pure sex. Instantly and easily earned the top spot on my favorites list.
