The coin thread--post pictures of your traditional knives with a coin

A pair of a pair of Queens. The coins were bought long ago when I was an undergrad. At the time I was interested in large sized world coins and I liked the look of them. Many years later I sent them in to be slabbed and was quite happy with the results. The knives I bought during my burnt sambar phase in grad school.

That's a good one, although I think maybe it looks more like an antelope than a deer. Another in that vein, I have been pondering the Helvetia 20 Francs gold coin with a Fightn Rooster.

Yes well it is a Springbok but I think it's part of the Deer family and it has horns maybe not antlers but the males are Bucks :)

Very cool idea the Fighting Rooster although a French 20F gold coin from pre WW1 should have the Cockerel on it too. American Buffalo Gold coin and Cripple Creek???:cool:
