I haven't had a cold steel in awhile, from the looks of this one they have gotten better. I've only ever used their aus8, how's that aus10 compare?the lite version aint bad either.......
I like it better than the aus8. seems to hold edge bit longer and sharpens about as easily.I haven't had a cold steel in awhile, from the looks of this one they have gotten better. I've only ever used their aus8, how's that aus10 compare?
It carries a bit "smaller" in the pocket, due to its shorter height when closed. It's also easier to close one-handed. That said though, the AD10 is the smoothest Tri-AD out of the box I've ever had.Exactly how is it better ?![]()
I had one a few years ago. I'd say it was a lot closer to a 14c28n steel but Rockwell was slightly higher.I haven't had a cold steel in awhile, from the looks of this one they have gotten better. I've only ever used their aus8, how's that aus10 compare?
The cold steel AD15 was good enough to make me sell my custom.Agreed on all accounts. The MG are good too. This production ad15 is surprisingly nice as well, centered blade with good fit and finish. Hopefully the quality doesn't dip now with gsm.
I picked up an ad15 directly from Andrew a few years ago and it was not in as good of shape as this one. I ended up sending it back. Interesting conversation and chain of emails between us where I learned some shit about their manufacturing that surprised me. Still got the emails. The cold steel AD15 was good enough to make me sell my custom.
As in Spyderco Chinook? My old man has that knife too. Not sure which gen though.Stout folder but carries like a bar of soap in a metal box. One of the few folders out there that could probably double as a throwing knife if one was so inclined. Had one but my gen 1 Chinook already filled that nitch.![]()

Not good to me, as a machinist/programmer I was actually like what the hell. Hopefully they've changed it.Good surprise or bad surprise?
It only ends if everyone buys an AD10Already 17 pages with this $#!+...
