The comfy handle list

Isn't the B4 the same as

all the Scrapyard WD, WS, MS, Elmax 340,375, 460 war dog

and you are correct they are awesome.

3B2. What did I win? 😅

Also, the EU-17 mini's handle is very nice. Not sure if it varies from the regular & magnum versions.

Did someone mention Ratmandu/HRLM yet?

Another vote for DSF, especially smoothed handle versions

...Also, this custom SJTACv's handle is perfect in hand for me vvv 🤙

Depends on size and purpose. Weight and balance point play a role, too. Let's say, we are talking about a light, ~8" blade.

For general purpose, this one is perfect:

For heavier stuff, mostly hammer grip (chopping, etc), these ones are very comfy (and being front heavy is a plus):

I don't know why I didn't list the DSF. For many years now it has been my "If you could only have one" knife. DSF reissue? I dream, I dream.

🤘🍺🤘

Mostly agreed, but:

That knife came to me for a regrind. It was 1/4" stock, and literally 3/16" behind the edge! Blade was useless.

This came to me today for a regrind, and I noted that the handle is particularly comfortable:

Well that's a pretty high standard, and nothing I have ever encountered could meet that. The one above is very nice though. Owner thinks it's a Steel Heart. I don't know Busse models to confirm or deny that.

ETA: given where we are, I assume the OP is asking specifically about Busse handles.

Not to go off topic with this thread but, I would love to see your regrind on that ASH2 David Mary David Mary when its completed!

Did someone say Res-C? 😉 Those WD5 squarish cross section handles with their generously radiused corners fit my small'ish mitts really well! The Mudder handles slightly less so, though I do like their rippled texture's grippiness and the way their bulbous shape fills the palm pocket of the hand. And the INFIdu micarta is IMHO no slouch in the comfort department either.1000089511.jpg

I love me some Res-C handles, but I can’t stand that wardog handle design. It absolutely does not agree with my hand at all. Believe it or not they feel better to my hand upside down.

The Basic 9 feels great to me. Feels like it’s got dips and swells in the right places that fit the human hand.

Lots of good handle designs by Jerry, but my longtime Micarta favorites have been the Ratweiler, Sarsquatch and NMSFNO. Oh, and the Skinny ASH.

Most all of the Res-C handles are awesome, of course.

I actually think I like the newer design of the Ratweiler grip better than the originals, but both are great. It's the opposite with the Ergos - the originals feel better in my hand.

Busse has some good 2d handle designs, but aren't the rest mostly just a "dip" at the front and rear pins?

Can't think of one I just really can't stand, lots of good ones. The one that really sings to me though is the Desert Patrol. I'm definitely partial to micarta, some notable others for me not mentioned yet are the Vex, SARsquatch, and my BG Urban Grudge all in micarta.

Personally I think I find the OG resc handles (Basics series) super comfortable but the Gen 1 Ratwieler/Chopwieler handles were fantastic as well! Recently I was also quite surprised by how comfortable I found the GW2 handle! Super all around !

Agreed about the GW2 (well, all that you mentioned 😉🤙), but that was a very pleasant surprise, especially the stonewashed finished ones 👍
