LOL - The original was "No Idaho Stamp?" but we posted at the same time.

If you have that re-blasted you would never notice.

That's possible, but it doesn't really look bad like it is, once it's not enlarged in a pic. That knife gets used daily at work, and the knife that contributed the scale was given as a gift to a friend who uses it even more.

This is kind of funny. I've just bought a large Classic which was modified. Originally it had blue calfskin inlays. Somebody (not the seller) replaced them by stag inlays and did a pretty good job, I think.

From the seller pics it looks like that the guy who did the replacement also put some satin finish on the slabs, because I believe originally the classic slabs are blasted and do not have satin finish. The blade has this little spot next to the thumbstud. Not sure where this comes from. A few minor scratches are visible at the blade, the lockbar and the slabs.

Once I have it here I will decide whether I will take it as a user or whether I put it at my CRK display. Not sure yet, as the condition is not mint, but also not really bad. Need to take off the remaining blue color from the thumbstud and probably attaching a new lanyard. Although leather is a good choice to go with the stag inlays.

I know that "pimped" knives are not really keeping their value. But I like the stag inlays a lot, as this is really special. Let me know what you think.

Nyfe, I really like the grain on that one. Is it your only Bocote?

It's will not be my only one. I believe this will make my 4th large 21 with Bocote. 2 are plain, 2 Damascus. They are all vastly different. I will post pics when I get the 4 together. Bocote is my favorite CRK wood. I have sold a couple Bocote over the years to fund other CRK, but I believe these 4 will be keepers. This one is plainer than the others but that grain just spoke to me.... Lol. Something about it that drew me in.
