This is a really nice pattern...what color are those dots? They look black...wondering how this one was done.

After LW and some others driving me mad about their "morning sun" and "night sky" stories, I needed to do something about it. So eat this![]()

As I am into damascus blades with CRK, it needed to be a damascus one. I love the raindrop pattern on this one and I am particularely exited about the fact that the scene has threes. As all of the night sky UG I have seen so far do have the threes, but the morning sun UG not often, I am happy about that. Because I want to find also a night sky with damascus blade in order to have a nice team.
Pine trees and a Citrine, very nice!
LW, can you tell me more about the Citrine? I am not too familiar with Cabochons...
Citrine is a gemstone, the orange version of Amethyst. The color can range from very light to fairly dark. All but the best Citrine has a bit of brownish yellow overtone, you can see in the pics. It's also a somewhat soft stone, it will scratch with wear of carry in the case of a knife. My own large EDC has a Citrine, and the scratches on top of the stone a readily visible under a loupe. Citrine makes a nice choice for a MS, because the color has a resemblance to the sun. I like it better than an Almandine Garnet on the graphic, although I love an Almandine on other UG's.
Here you go, Lone_Wolfe
This one should be arriving tomorrow
Small 21 Cocobolo
It's about time!!!!!!!!!!!! And it's worth it! I like the pattern on that Raindrop. Please add it to the Raindrop thread, along with it's birthdate. The graphics aren't my favorite, but the blued damascus is memorable.
I believe you have graphics by both Chris and Scott Cook there.
That is great to know LW. Are these what they refer to as "Line Drive" graphics or something?
No, Line Drive is a CGG, these are UG's. The blue does have some of the look that later went into the Line Drive, but I've seen several with a similar look. The ladder has all the hallmarks of being a Scott Cook, it's a lot like this confirmed Cook here.
