The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

I'm going to guess Ebony. Let's see what Flint says. It sure is pretty!

This one isn't an Inbound, but it sure has my attention. I think it's called Wheel in the Sky.

Thanks LW!

I'm liking the Wheel in the Sky. Makes me think of my father-in-law. He was a huge Journey fan, lol.

Thanks! It's Cocobolo. It has some red streaking if you look closely.

And thanks about the Starbenza too. I love that knife. I'm out of town tonight and ate my dinner out of a plastic carry out box in my hotel room with a plastic fork but luckily had my Starbenza and didn't have to use no stinkin' plastic knife. :D

Yeah I noticed that.
Ha ha; that's the way, a true CRK soldier.

That is a very cool design! I wonder how she does that, it looks like it takes tons of time to do it, it's all anodizing right?

Cut on a freehand milling machine, and then anodized. Some she cuts part of the design, anodizes the high voltage color, cuts some more, anodizes more, and sometimes cuts even more. This one is an example of at least 3 trips back and forth.

I just got this today, I love these blades; they are the reason I started looking into CRK knives, so beautiful and unique, I feel like a dog with a T-bone steak, I'm just finishing the new lanyard for it[emoji3]

Congrats on the Ti lock!

Is that the lanyard you tied or is that the stock CR lanyard?

I've tried to tie a lanyard just like the stock snake knot (even checked the instructions) but haven't been able to lol

My goodness! No wonder they are so sought after, and pricey! Thanks for the lesson:)

Thanks man, yeah I tied that one, I think blues goes well with that knife. Keep practicing, I'll send you a link to a video I found on YouTube when I get home. Or search for weavers of eternity, snake knot, I think that's the name of the guy.

Haha that's the video I watched as well. Still couldn't get it. I'll have to send you some cord and beads so you can work your magic [emoji106]🏻

Ha ha, yeah that's how I learned to do it, it just takes practice, yeah I'll do it, it'll be my pleasure :)

You're very welcome! Take a look here, I posted this last night in response to another UG question.

Thanks for the link, I'm totally floored by how many designs she has made, and also for your excellent knowledge of the subject; your collection is amazing for sure, that photo you posted with all of those blades on the tree table just blew my mind. Thank you very much for all the information, I really appreciate it.

You just wait, I'm going to redo that pic soon. ;)

I'm also going to post a pictoral history of UG's starting with one of the first ever produced.

That would be so cool. I'm grabbing the popcorn.

A question: how many designers have done UGs? Obviously Chris and Lisa, but do others work on them too? Are the new ones all by Lisa?

Scott Cook did some before Chris handed it over to Lisa. I have one confirmed as being done by him.

I got back from band practice and found a box on my front porch; I totally forgot about this inbound from my manic shopping-go broke spree this last week. Honestly, I haven't been interested in any small CRK at all, they looked pretty and all but I have larger hands, XL size gloves , but when I opened the box I totally tripped out. This is a lot of knife in a small package, the quality is over the top (I think); every aspect of these little blades exude quality, elegance, and attention to detail, to me this is what a gents folder should be, sadly is missing the leather sheath so I got to get one for it because I'm going to carry this one for sure; oh, and it is the sharpest of all the CRK knives I have! I am amazed.
This is my first Mnandi! Thank you Craig!
The reason I bought it is the looks of the elder burl inlays, I'm fearful this is going to become another addiction; I think I must be a financial masochist, dang, I talk too much I know, here are a couple of pics, I hope Lone Wolf likes this (she probably already has tons of these, maybe even better):)
