The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

I got back from band practice and found a box on my front porch; I totally forgot about this inbound from my manic shopping-go broke spree this last week. Honestly, I haven't been interested in any small CRK at all, they looked pretty and all but I have larger hands, XL size gloves , but when I opened the box I totally tripped out. This is a lot of knife in a small package, the quality is over the top (I think); every aspect of these little blades exude quality, elegance, and attention to detail, to me this is what a gents folder should be, sadly is missing the leather sheath so I got to get one for it because I'm going to carry this one for sure; oh, and it is the sharpest of all the CRK knives I have! I am amazed.
This is my first Mnandi! Thank you Craig!
The reason I bought it is the looks of the elder burl inlays, I'm fearful this is going to become another addiction; I think I must be a financial masochist, dang, I talk too much I know, here are a couple of pics, I hope Lone Wolf likes this (she probably already has tons of these, maybe even better):)

I only have have 8 Mnnadi's, none are Box Elder. And I sure know what you mean about being surprised by a box showing up. In fact I did it again yesterday. 2 boxes in my mailbox, I know onw is an Inkosi, so what the hell is the other??? I had to open it and look to remember I also bought an Ole Glory CGG. :o

Well, that just shows how much attention I pay to huge tables with countless CRK knives on them! Can't wait to see what you got. ;)

Here's a pic I took a few years back, and had some fun with.

It's a little out dated now.... :p

And it arrived :) my favorite of ALL the knives I've ever owned so far, Large 21 CF inlay and she's a perfect example. Off to the LKS to layaway a Ti-Lock now.

Thank you! I really didn't like the Ti-Lock the first half dozen times I played with it but it's really grown on me. It's so different than anything else that that alone interests me but I also like that it's not a super popular model and figured I should grab one now incase they become difficult to find down the road. I'm new to CRK but in my experience with Benchmade and Spyderco it seems like the odd and not super popular models are the expensive and hard to find pieces 5-10 years after they're out of production.

There's a customer that frequents my local shop that can actually use the lugs on his Ti-Lock as you would an Emerson wave opener and catch it just right on his pocket to open the blade.

I hope there's a Mammoth Bark Mnandi in my future but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to afford one, not for a good while anyway.

Wow, I would like to see that! And yes, the tilock has been my favorite from the beginning, I love everything about it; some people just hate it, or complain about not being able to flick it open, I really don't care about any of the issues people report as nuisances, in my eyes is not only a work of art but a magnificent engineering design feat; I still need to post the picture of a blue steam I got recently, I just love that one and I will never sell it. Thanks for posting you pictures, like I said, they're awesome knives u got.

Pics of said Ole Glory please!

This really a dark piece of Cocobolo. At 1st glance I was thinking it is Gabon Ebony. But that usually carries some brown color in it. Yours shows indeed some dark red color. Very nice!

Thanks! The person I'm getting it from said he hand picked it from a dealer, so I bet it looks fantastic in person. Many vintage slipjoints look like Gabon Ebony but are actually Cocobolo. Cocobolo often darkens with age. I have a couple of traditionals with Cocobolo handles, I'll post some pics when the Mnandi gets in.

I forgot to post this, dang, I love this knife. I also have a question, has any of you noticed the haze that develops on the handles? It is not very obvious, it's almost like the titanium oxidized, but I have seen it on three different tilocks before, it bugged me so I polished this and the other one I got, they both shine now, I took it apart and did the polishing with Simichrome Polish, it worked like magic. I forgot to take pictures before I did it though. Oh, and I was careful not to touch the blue anodized lock bar, otherwise the polish would take the color off, any thoughts about that? I know this is not the place to ask that, maybe, but I'm already writing and I'm lazy right now:)
