Dave, thanks for the info, I was curious about that too
Lately my Canoe has found a new role: it became my "food knife" at work. I wasn't carrying it much lately (between my Opinel and the little Falcon lockback that unexpectedly got into my hands, the war got tough and they leave no prisoners behind) so I decided to bring it to work and leave it there for my food duties (I have a SAK on my keyring for anything else). The knife has a "flaw" (the pen blade is a nailbreaker), but since I actually only use one blade (and the spear is smooth enough), it doesn't really matter, and the pocket friendliness of the Canoe makes up for the extra weight and thickness (although it would be nice to engineer it and make it a single bladed Canoe).
To cut the story short, I'm at work and peeling oranges with my Canoe

Thanks Dave!!! What beauties and that Schatt and Morgan is a real looker too! I really appreciate the post.

Fausto...I was just out back ...checking the whittling capability of mine..there is a nip in the air and its just felt right. I have had the Canoe in my pocket all week.

Wasn't sure how I'd feel about the pattern, but this one popped up and I wanted some stag so....
Once I recieved it and slipped it in my pocket I was hooked. As has been stated it is a very pocket (and hand) friendly pattern, and it really slices.

I have a little question for you canoeists :D
How strong are the pulls on Queen and Case canoes (and other brands too)?
I love knives but hate nailbreakers....

After carrying mine for some time now, it has broken in quite a bit. I have oiled it several times and its now about a 5 on the main spear point. It was almost a nail breaker when I got it but only on the spear point. Mine was not purchased new and was a little rusty when I got it so it obviously needed a little breaking in.

Here is my Carl Schlieper Stag Canoe with Stag handles. I postet the pic with my Buck 301 for size comparison.

I hope you enjoy the pic :)

Kind regards

Thank you, Rarreola.

I ordered that one a time ago. Carried it from time to time. Schlieper has a lot of staghandles in offer. Very cool, for a pretty nice prize. I like it, for sunday carrying...

Kind regards
Andi

She is a beauty Andi!

I am a big fan of the canoe pattern and have several from different makers ( Case, Canal St., and Queen) and I like them all- especially the Canal Street version called the " Cannitler ". All the ones I have show outstanding workmanship, all the blades open easily and are razor-sharp.
