The Cult of Canoe

I got my first canoe, a Canal Street 3 Blade Cannitler Canoe. I really like the pattern.

Great looking Canoe! I like three blades.

I see you've been cutting steak with that multicolor on the blade? She's a fine specimen

I sure have been carrying mine alot. The more I use it the more I like it.

I might be picking up my first canoe sometime soon. I just found out that's what my father's favorite always was.

Dave, thanks for the info, I was curious about that too
Lately my Canoe has found a new role: it became my "food knife" at work. I wasn't carrying it much lately (between my Opinel and the little Falcon lockback that unexpectedly got into my hands, the war got tough and they leave no prisoners behind) so I decided to bring it to work and leave it there for my food duties (I have a SAK on my keyring for anything else). The knife has a "flaw" (the pen blade is a nailbreaker), but since I actually only use one blade (and the spear is smooth enough), it doesn't really matter, and the pocket friendliness of the Canoe makes up for the extra weight and thickness (although it would be nice to engineer it and make it a single bladed Canoe).
To cut the story short, I'm at work and peeling oranges with my Canoe

The two spring canoes make this very easy to accomplish as pretty much all it would take is pulling the extra spring, liner, and blade out of a production knife. There are a couple of guys here that could do it for you. The single blade canoe in my avatar was made by Jeff Mutz. - Ed J

Just found some more photos of my canoe collection. I also have a Case Baby Butterbean/ natural bone and 3 Camillus " Yello Jaket" canoes but I don't have any photos of them.

Love this new Case green winter bottom. I wish Case made the regular Canoe the same as the Baby Butterbean.

May I add a vendor pic of a knife I just ordered? I'll post up the real one when she gets in, Wednesday or Thursday....
