The cult of the peanut.

Yeah, I'd like CV also. A wharncliffe blade would have been better, in my opinion. (What are you going to spey with that? I'll be here all week.)

Hey guys, new to the forum but have been a reader for a while. For the longest time i have carried a bm mini grip, while being a nice knife i find that it is still more than what i need for a edc. I had read about the peanut challenge and decided to give it a go. I picked up a smooth med. blue case with ss blades. After two weeks i am hooked. I cant explain why but this little knife just does it for me.

Another disciple for Jackknife! It has only begun, my friend!

Yes sir! Also picked up a dark red bone tiny toothpick. It may only be a single blade and it is small, but it is a pocket scalpel for sure. Really liking the smaller case patterns. I am 27 years old and fear that i may end up with more knives than i can count, but i guess being a peanut fanatic isnt so bad in the grand scheme. :)

Welcome to the cult! My entrance started with a single Case chestnut bone peanut, then my son wanted one, so he got a yeller one. I now have these four:

Let me welcome you to the cult. Of course, this is only the beginning of your odyssey into the world of little but mighty cutters. There are CV peanuts for you to buy, like the time tested yellow handle peanut. And there are the cousins of the peanut, the 'other' little guys. The mini copperhead, Eisenhower, mini trappers.

Never under estimate the little guy. :D

Carl.

It is a sickness. I love the fact that they are fairly cheap as well. I paid $85 for my mini grip and all it does is sit on a desk now. I paid $35 for my peanut and it rides in the watch pocket every day. Yeah my mini grip may be lonely, but right now i dont care. I wonder how many peanuts i could buy if i sold the bm? Hmmm, tempting.

Thanks for the welcome guys, i actually read that thread this morning and found it to be a great post. It just reassures me that i have been way over knifed for a while. Bigger isnt always better i suppose.

Let me welcome you to the cult.

The man's first-ever Bladeforums post is above, announcing his Peanuttry and describing how his Peanut has displaced a Mini Griptilian. Surely this warrants the bestowal of secret-decret* Cult Honors...?

* So secret-decret, no one knows what they are.

Yes, he has shown great faith, leaping into the cult. He gets added points for abandoning one of the 'other' knives. So he'll bypass the pledge stage and the first level.

Fair enough.

I hope he likes molasses.

It is a true honor. I have decided that for Christmas this year I will give peanuts. Lets see how many of my relatives I can secretly turn into watch pocket believers. ;)

Welcome to the Peanut World. It may be a slippery slope to financial doom by all the variations out there. I started with a peanut 3 months ago (Case Chestnut bone in CV ) and have'nt looked back. I back it up with a Back Pocket ,but the peanut gets probably 95% or more of the workload. Just too dang handy! Sharp too! I bought my wife an Autumn Bone and she actually carries it in her jeans pocket . Lets keep recruting for the cult.

Carl, I just put this in the Sunday picture show, but must post here for ya just in case. Its my favorite recent find, and already a true friend. The nut had no problem posing for the camera and cracked a warm grin for its first mugshot.

russamurai: That Peanut is a nice piece! of craftmanship. The shield on the peanut frame is jst great looking :)

I am happy you posted the Keen Kutter here, because I wanted to say how gorgeous it is, but did not want to interrupt the flow of the traditional Sunday show.
