The Dark Side...

Lorien, Nice work on the handle, turned out better than what I'm working on. Will be interesting to see how well it holds up and how rough on the hands it is though. Be sure to post some updates after a good amount of use...

Wow, Burt - 6800 views for a stock removal thread. Maybe you walked the wrong path?:D:D

Burt, my apologies... I said stock removal, when I should have said hollow ground.

Sorry, buddy - didn't mean to imply that it wasn't forged!!!!!

Hope I didn't get your hackles up!

my Burt Foster 'kit knife':D is just about complete.

All I have to do now is wax that sheath, and maybe tweak my lanyard thingy, which incidentally is made from downrigger line, black anodized spoke nipples and the tip of one of the antlers I found in the forest.

Then there's just fine tuning the clip and we'll see how this little knife performs, day after day. I'm liking it a lot so far:)

Very nice. Glad to see you still have the bowie though it makes me sad I sold it to you. :p (PS that Mayo is about the perfect folder to me. awesome!)

while I generally carry my EDK more, (it's just about the perfect knife) I still am infatuated with what has become known as my Caterpillar Knife, (thank you Kevin:)). Burt Foster is an outstanding knife maker, and man does he ever make sure that collectors at either end of the financial spectrum get a chance to own a Foster knife they will cherish:thumbup::cool:.

I use it a fair bit, and it's pretty good for most stuff. Unfortunately, although I like the look of a trailing point, in requires more attention when resheathing the knife. I'm hoping I'll become more proficient with time, but even if I don't, the prospect of living with this knife until the EndTM is almost a foregone conclusion.
