The Dark Side...

That damascus is nice. That brown stuff may just be some residue from the sheath. Mine had that, but it wiped clean away with some camelia oil. I also discovered it the same way - didn't see it in hand, but it showed up in the first couple pics that I took.

I finally got a chance to take a few pictures of my small Damascus Dark Side. This little knife is a real cutter.

I'm enjoying carrying and using it and very happy I decided to get the leather sheath too.

I bought this knife from Burt because of the excellent technology and design, among other reasons.

Not a fan of neck knives, because I use a knife all the time at work and need to access it one handed. I didn't buy this knife to stash away and admire, I bought it for cutting stuff, in style.

Also like making my own sheaths, and didn't want to pay extra for one from Burt, even though his leatherwork is superior in every way to what I do with the stuff.

I prefer a straight knife over a folder, and this little Darkside I figured would be just the ticket. With a few mods, of course:D

The next stage is to make a pocket sheath, and a dangly lanyardy thing, with a bead or something to add a little 'virtual' length to the handle.

Now my Leavitt EDK will have a partner to trade time in my pocket. Don't wanna work these little guys too hard eh!

I didn't know what that meant, so a little googling;

It means “there is no disputing about tastes”[1][2], and is essentially equivalent to the English expression "there's no accounting for taste"[3]. The implication is that opinions about matters of taste are not objectively right or wrong, and hence that disagreements about matters of taste cannot be objectively resolved.

Fair enough!:D

I think this has worked well for you brother Burt 5888 views.
Impressive, most impressive.

Jonathan, that was for fun. Burt is most definatly a Jedi. As you are also, however in a diffrent subject. Would you agree?

Wow, thanks! One day, hopefully, a knight fighter will find its way in there.

Sometimes I think its not wisdom, its just impulsiveness and the inability to save money properly/responsibly. :)

Thank you Stuart. My uncle once asked why I did not make a $50 knife. I replied, Enzo only makes a Ferrari. That has always been true. I would rather have the knives than the money. However, I love to make the knives, so they go out and I continue the work I love.

Stuart, I'd like to see more pictures of your avatar's knife. Don't you have a link or something ?
Thanks in advance.
Burt, sorry for the flood but you know I dig your knives too ;)
