I just received my first delica today in bright orange. After carrying it around the house and fidgeting with it, I am completely blown away by the simple design and can understand why a lot of people collect these instead of the main sprints (paramilitary's and manix's) because..
OH NO! Im starting to want one in every color:eek:.

Im wondering why not release more sprints in the delica? like Cruwear or M4?
If its a Japanese vs American steel thing, is there a Japanese equivalent of Cruwear?
A super tough Delica would be a real joy to own and sharpen.

To the ones who've owned one long term, Love it? Hate it? Why so?
Very new to the Delica gang so any opinions are appreciated.:D

It truly is a great knife. I have come back to the delica so many times and now I finally only carry and own delicas. There really isn’t any other knife that I need for my daily edc tasks.

I would also love to see them in M4 and cruwear. Oh my that would be fantastic

The very first one-handed opening knife decades ago was a Delica in GIN-1 steel with a molded and integrated clip. I beat the stink out of it for years until the clip finally snapped off. It then moved into the garage as a work knife but that was the beginning of my knife obsession. After all this time I've owned, and still own, many knives but as of late I'm back to being obsessed with the Delica. Perfect size, nice steel options, the ability to customize with aftermarket scales, great slicer, and also has the ability to be dropped in my pocket without the clip similar to a slip-joint. Perfect knife for a great price.

So many great qualities it’s hard to pick a favorite.

Right now I own
5 Manix 2’s
4 Pm2’s
3 Military’s
3 Para 3’s

All sprints

And now one Delica and it honestly feels like a “first knife” kind of feeling. Honeymoon phase? Maybe?

No time to question it. Time to see how far down this section of the rabbit/spydiehole goes.

Geronimo!!!

Delicas are awesome. I wish they’d offer them in 100% steels instead of the laminating/sandwiching blades. Like a 100% 52100, superblue, etc.

Same, but I feel like maybe it’s that “Japanese” touch having the lamination lines.

I’d vote for golden made Delicas but the price point might increase drastically.

Good point. I’d buy golden delicas for 50% more. Then again I love them the way they are. Win win either way.

Currently own no Delicas. If I had to pick one Spydie to carry for every, it would almost certainly be a Delica.

I always feel compelled to chime in when delicas are mentioned. Got my first one in 1996 and carry a FFG often today. The FFG delica and endura are excellent IMHO.

Have given several away but I always have one.
