Bought my first Delica about a month ago, and am hooked. Really like my two British Green with ZDP 189 one with deep pocket carry clip, the other with no clip and just dropped into pocket. Will probably be selling the Black VG10 and Zome VG10, unless I gift them to grandchildren first.
But, as nice as the Delica is for it's niche, it's just not in the same class as the PM2.

I have to admit that I've never been a fan of the Spyderco aesthetics, the leaf blade isn't my taste at all, and I'm not into tactical knives in the slightest. That said, I've been on a knife binge lately and I've been looking at getting my very first Spyderco: either a Delica 4 or Endura (bright orange caught my eye too, it'll stand out in the bush). All the reviews for the Delica are superb but from pictures alone it seems underwhelming, at least the plastic handle. But I've had the same thoughts about a few knives from pictures, then when I carried them I was blown away.I just received my first delica today in bright orange.
You will not be disappointed I scoffed at Delicas for 3 years before I took the leap and never looked back.I have to admit that I've never been a fan of the Spyderco aesthetics, the leaf blade isn't my taste at all, and I'm not into tactical knives in the slightest. But, I think I'm going to do it in the next month or two. I need to see what all the buzz is about!
The delica was the first spyderco I saw in the mid 90s. I never liked them and bought barettas until I could afford benchmades. I love g-sakai knives but alas still not in to the delica. HOWEVER this image is quite amazing! I laughed at the pink ones.
If you're good with your hands, it'll come natural to you. Hold the handle with your fingers, open the blade via the hole using your thumb.I have no clue, I am starting from scratch.
Here is a nice, basic video on opening and closing a Delica (or almost any Spyderco back lock):I have no clue, I am starting from scratch.
I don’t think you’ll regret your decision.I've been looking at lots of that's and I've decided I'm going to try to buy a delica from boomer52 with his scales and choil mod. If you haven't looked at his work go do it, he's making what I feel the delica should be.
