The Delica is freaking awesome.

While my collection has not grown I seem to keep acquiring new scales :) The latest addition are the Wilkins matte titanium at the top. I'm still trying to decide if I keep at least one of the Vtokus on the original blue FRN or convert both to the new scales. If I keep on on FRN that means I'll have to buy another Delica just so I can use both sets of scales :)

And, yes, I realize that the scale obsession is a little nuts. The Wilkins scales are 2x the cost of the Delica but it is cool to have options for such an amazing knife!

^^^Makes perfect sense to me. I love the thought of Delica blade with Wilkins TI. You got an awesome Delica collection tomsch sweet Hap40 coated Delica

That looks fantastic! I have a set of Aramis scales on a PM2 but yours certainly has me thinking about his G10 too!
The only problem with Aramis standard scales is that you cannot install an after market pocket clip. The scale has a special recessed area for the standard clip. If you want to mount a lowrider clip you must place a special order outside of ebay. You will also need slightly longer screws to accommodate the extra thickness of the scale.

The most important thing is the feel in the hand, the knife feel different and sturdier. It is not slippery at all and overall a worth while upgrade.

Allen Putman scales are same way. I even asked if he would simply make it for tip down carry and he was like "nah". Lol

I am now tempted to get the carbon fiber which can accommodate a low rider pocket clip. Turns the Delica into a 200+ USD. knife.

Its one of my favorite designs, so if I like it and can afford it I'd get it. Might be better if it was sprint run steel, but it wouldn't stop me if it wasn't.

:) Another freaking awesome Delica.
It has been 15 years since a Delica has been dressed up in Carbon fibre scales.

I think they have done it well with this update. If you are a Delica fan this will make a great Sunday, going to church knife.

A few things have changed since the last Delica CF.

Being a Gen 4 the blade has changed.

The 2003 Delicas only had a single steel liner on the clip side. Which means that you couldn’t change the clip to the other side. The new model is a just a little bit heavier and a little wider than the older model. But you would only notice the difference on close inspection of the 2 models.

Compared to the Delica SS and the FRN?

Just a touch wider than the SS, but very much lighter.

Just a touch heavier than the FRN, but very much thinner.

I think it fits into the line up nicely, I like it.

I just received my first Delica. Can’t believe I haven’t owned one before and it is my 20th Spyderco Knife.

Mine is a SE Gen 1 and I honestly only bought it because I thought it would be cool to have an early Spyderco in the collection. I love the size. Actually it suits me much better than my Para 3 or Endura.

I am ordering a couple more Delicas soon... likely one in SS and one in standard FRN.

Interesting - can't seem to find the FFG version on Spyderco's site. Not doubting that it exists. VG-10 or something else?

Sorry my mistake it is not FFG but as in the picture on Spyderco site and yes it has a vg10 steel blade with a black coating.

Bought my first Delica about a month ago, and am hooked. Really like my two British Green with ZDP 189 one with deep pocket carry clip, the other with no clip and just dropped into pocket. Will probably be selling the Black VG10 and Zome VG10, unless I gift them to grandchildren first.

But, as nice as the Delica is for it's niche, it's just not in the same class as the PM2.
Yeah, what class is that?
