It has been a long and winding road with the distractions of moving, building a new shop, and a couple seasons of intense commercial fishing in the wild gulf of Alaska, but after more than two years, we are back to full time knife making! We got the new knife shop dried in and insulated just in time for Christmas, scrambled to get some workbenches installed, then lit the Forge! We have very tight quality control in our knife shop ;)

It was crunch time for San Antonio...

I started off with some "Adventure Choppers"

The cleaver is made from W-1. It was an old wrecking bar salvaged from an abandoned mine in khaz inlet, remote Alaska, the handle is black actionwood from the Bob Lee Archery company.

The Bowie is forged from L-6 round bar, and the handle is curly Koa that our friend Lee gave us at Blade Show last year.

after warming up, I dove into the advanced Damascus. The first is the "Dark Angel" It is a fully integral fighting chopper. This blade is a 9 bar turkish twisted daemon on loan from the "otherworld". The blade is 11-1/2" forged from 1095 & 15n20. The handle is presentation grade Desert Ironwood. There are approximately 800 individual pieces of steel in this knife, all forge welded into one monolithic unit.

next up are a pair of "Keyhole Hunters" in "Orc nouveau" pattern Damascus, with African black wood handles. They are forged from 1095 & 15n20.

this one is a 5-1/4" integral hunter/utility forged from W-2. It is rugged, useful, and wicked sharp...

These, and at least one more "surprise" will be at the ABS Expo in San Antonio next weekend.

Haley started off with a bang. Her first knife out of semi-retirement, "the Talisman" is a full tang stainless San Mai blade with a 1095 high carbon cutting core. It has bolsters of "W" pattern Damascus, and presentation grade desert ironwood handle scales. Haley drew inspiration for this piece from the masterful folders by Don Hanson III.

Her next creation is a laddered "w" pattern utility/hunter with Damascus, file worked spacers and African black wood handle.

Haley will be showing these and also another "surprise" in San Antonio.
We hope to see you all there.

Great to hear the shop is up and running and the blades as always look awesome

Congrats on both of your hard work

whoah! There's something uncanny about the Talisman...!

Congrats on getting the band back together, and great storytelling, by the way.

The work is all brilliant, but I'd love to give that integral chopper/fighter a chicken eyeing.

Seth

Wow! I´m stunned! Your "Keyhole Hunters" are beauties...even if I´m not a big damascus fan - the pattern and the curves of those two knives are awesome! Thanks for showing.

Wow, so many great knives from both of you!! I think you got a new four-legged admirer in your forge...;)

My Adventure Bowie is in the hands of the customs right now, but I hope to see it early next week! :D

Impressive collection of work Adam. Great to see you and and Haley producing the usual high quality work. Love the pic with Bambi.

Beautiful work,

Wish I could be in San Antonio to see it in person.

I would love to visit with you two also.

Greg

Off the hook, fantastic, I love them all, but the "Dark Angel" and the "Keyhole Hunters" are fabulous!

Good luck in San Antonio. Are you guys going to the Blade this year?

Jeff

There's only one thing (to me) equal or better than these knives: Haley's photography.

Masterful work by all!

Beautiful knives.
I'm not a big fan of the Keyhole design but certainly appreciate the skill and effort involved to execute them to the degree you have.
Adam, your Damascus is incredible.

I especially like the 'Talisman', very nice design with a visible Hanson influence.

The Damascus Hunter/Utility is a nice design as well, I have a carbon steel version of that. Your JS test knife in fact.
