I just bought a NIB Green FRN ZDP189 PE knife for $60 plus $7 for shipping.
I find that completely unreal. The Endura was my first Spydie and the knife I think of when I think of a Spyderco. Just WOW but its all good for me ;)

Hey Jake, does that Native have the VG-10 or S30V blade? My Native with VG-10 came last week and I have to say the edge is probably the sharpest I've ever gotten out of the box :eek:. Thinking about getting the S30V Native or possibly a Para. Sorry Flatlander, don't mean to highjack your thread :o

That's an S30V, USA-Made Native. A native US Native :D

And I disagree; the Endura gets plenty of respect!

The Endura has been in Spyderco's lineup far longer than many other knives that have come and gone. That means people are buying it, so Spyderco keeps making it. Voting for something's continued existence with your hard earned dollars is one of the biggest signs of respect that you can make.

Why in the world would you say it doesn't get any respect?

Not trying to give you a attitude here but if I was to buy a delica for 30 bucks does that make it not get any respect.... Maybe from the person selling it yes, but not from fellow spyderco lovers.

Sometimes people know nothing about a product and sell it at any price just to get some cash. Also as seen MANY times on this forum people sell knife at a low price just to help fellow forum members.

I think Flatlander1963 has a point. But instead of "no respect" I'd say it's more "overlooked". New knives come along all the time, and steal the spotlight. But the Endura just keeps getting better and better, while still being "just" an Endura.

That's fine with me, I prefer items that are designed correctly, built tough, and don't need to be the latest and greatest. Although I do admit to buying the new and cool from time to time, most of what I use I have only bought once. Hence, only two Enduras. A II and a IV.

I place the Endura right there with the Militarys in the respect department and the 4 series makes them better then ever!

So true! So many knives came from Spyderco in a few months and we just have to keep up with the hot stuff. I only have SP10GPFG(of the Enduras of course :) ) for now and a few Delicas but as seen in this thread recently things may change and Endura may become hot stuff!? That would be great and I can't wait to see some

Great looking folders. Classic Spyderco

OK guys some of you took the title wrong. I love the Endura but it does seem "Overlooked" these days. Could I have bought a ZDP Stretch on eBay for $60? I don't think so. Anyway, I'm singing with the Spyderco Choir on this. To me it's the knife that defines the Company.

Josh....shame on you for not having an Endura and you a self professed big knife person. :)

EDIT: Should we turn this into a show your Endura thread??

I respect the living tickpoop out of mine.

A lightweight knife with a nice long blade with excellent ergos, that barely takes up any place in the pocket for a knife of it's size. The person who sold you that knife probably failed to appreciate the unorthodox looks of it and thought that any potential byer would have the same bad taste as him, thus forcing him to give it away cheap.

The Endura is my favorite Spyderco! Its the one that started it all.

Heck, I have one of the old school Enduras with the ATS-55 blade. It is a great knife, and has been steadily getting better with time.

The Endura gets plenty of respect from me. I still carry the original one with the molded plastic pocket clip and aus-8 steel that I bought about ten years ago.
