So here is the BK9 sheath that I picked up from 710 at the gathering.
It had a kydex back and leather front with some OD tiger striping.
TDHurl had a sweet dangler made for his 710 BK9 sheath. I like it a lot so I sent the sheath back home with 710 and he's going to make me up a dangler too.
I'll do a proper review of the sheath when I get it back. But for now...

Very nice Jonny !!

I cant wait for my 2 new 710 sheaths. They will also be kydex wrapped in leather.... Like this :D

one brown like this for my potbelly, and another like this but black for the chopweiler.

I have to say it was extremely difficult to send the chopweiler off... But I insured it out the wazoo just in case :D

But im already missing it and its only been a day :(

The condor rodan just got here and the sheath alone is worth the price. The length of the sheath works great but it has a wide mouth so it doesnt really hold onto my other knife well. My other knife fits in the sheath, but there is no retention, it just kind of sits there bouncing around. HMMMM.... back to the drawing board.....

WW...710's leather wrapped kydex if off the charts!
I will need one or two of those sheaths. Very, very cool!

Heck yea man, he has some skills!!

That sheath in the picture matches my wallet he made me.....

Damn, my schooling Im at right now for work is very interesting, but very hard. My 5lb. bag brain feels like somebody has tried to stuff it with 20 lbs of sh!t. Today we studied orthogonal horizons and concentricity. Yeah, Thats what I thought. Im litterally surround by high end engineers and rocket scientists. However, You guys arent going to believe this, One of the engineers hobby is blacksmithing, and a knife nut. Hes from areound Eerie Pa somewhere, anyway, he knew who I was. Said he was at blade show looking at all of my stuff. I wasnt at the table at the time but evidently he talked to my wife and Jeff (Diesel D) Small world. pretty cool i thought.

Tell him there's a free Magua with his name on it if he does your homework :D

Oh Lord, pouch wallet.

What's in there? ID, some paper money, a little bit of pot? :D

LMAO, right now there is my ID card, my VA id card, my bank card, A pre-paid credit card, 3 dollar bills, And a "lucky" coin from Australia, its a 1 dollar coin with kangaroos, the first year it was issued out, which is also my birth year.... I keep it with me.

There is still a little room left, but its about packed, i might could put a couple more dollars in there (if i had them LMAO) or another card, maybe even 2.

Im actually HIGHLY impressed with how well it has stood up, Im not easy going with it and im always stuffing it passed full. But it has held up very well.

Haha, well, so far Ive been able to hold my own. My lab partner is actually a instructor for another company, there to get more proficient at the software used affectionately known as "the demon". So, Its like I have my own personal tutor and he is very patient with me. He also is a big deer hunter and wants a custom hunting knife........I told him I knew a guy. :D The class was a little overwelming yesterday, But today was better, Figure I'll be able to get it through it anyway, I didnt think that yesterday.
Another cool thing, is one of my other classmates is a self proclaimed "lover of all beers" He is staying in the same hotel as I am. they have liquor stores up here the size of Wal-mart, as well as micro breweries on every corner. Were gonna meet up in about a 1/2 hr. and go on a local beer tour. All within walking distance mind you. good thing!

Sooooo speaking of work shenanigans, my old boss used to do drive by farts, and try to catch people working in a closet or somewhere like an attic and fart up there so they were screwed.
He had gotten me more than once this way so I was looking for a chance to repay the favor. We were working in an apartment, and he was half in a kitchen cabinet under the sink working on a pipe, so I literally sat on his chest and farted into the cabinet.
He had nowhere to go and couldn't squirm out because I was sitting on him. To make things worse I had Corn beef and cabbage for dinner the night before, and that was what was working its way through.
He hit his head a half dozen times trying to get out, and called me everything but a white guy.

I laughed so hard that I got a cramp and had to stand up.
When he finally got out he started laughing and said that was the worst thing anyone had ever done to him short of being in combat.
Then he said he owed me a couple beers.....He was a strange guy ..lol

that leather wrapped kydex looks very nice. I'm gonna have to try my hand at that soon, after the workbench I'm making is done.

Thornton Hunt - sounds really cool, I love the good classes where you actually learn and don't just sit in a chair watching someone read Powerpoint slides to you.. Orthogonal angle is something I have to calibrate and adjust in some of the construction lasers... Pain in the ass. Beer tour sounds great, I got a couple different beers from Ohio, Eliot Ness and The Edmund Fitzgerald beers from the Great Lakes Brewing Company both were pretty good.

Silverthorn - that story made me laugh and cringe at the same time, I got caught under a seat of a train doing an install and a coworker did the same thing to me... damn nasty, but awesome if you are on the delivering end (of course) lol.

I'm also the youngest beckerhead ever by the way Today is my 13th b-day

Truthfully I may have you beat on that one but I don't feel like checking ATM.

I also learned that my woodshop class in school will be teaching me how to weld in a few months (something the teacher arranged because we have a bunch of welders and nobody to teach welding).

Sorry to hear about you loosing the job C-Bear but at least your clients like you enought to hire you :D

Finding a job in my general area is beginning to be a real b**ch too...

Apparently my friends just got arrested for riding their bikes on public property... I was about 2 minutes away from meeting them up too. Sucks for them though.

i hope you mean dirt bike, because riding a bicycle in public is allowed

I got in trouble with the law at 14 while rollerblading on school grounds on a saturday when they were closed. but i lived on a dirt road and had nowhere to use rollerblades so thats where i went.

But one of the classroom doors was left open and we went inside a kindergarten class and the teacher had a bag of candy on her desk so we put the candy in all the kids desks, and wrote on the chalkboard.

That was worth a trespassing, mischief and a breaking and entering charge. We didnt break in, the door was left open a little, even the school admitted they left the door cracked open because they cleaned the carpets and wanted it to dry, but because we pushed the door open all the way they pinned us with B&E. But i was young, did some community service, and the charges were erased.

No not a dirtbike, BMX bikes. If I wasn't messing around with installing new brake springs I would have been in the cop car with them. It's at a strip mall under a roof with a few stairsets around it. We can't ride at the local skatepark because bikes aren't allowed ("can't") and the town won't listen to anybody about changing the rules. After we get kicked out of there we usually go ride street, you know, because that's better then riding in an enclosed park with no people, cars, or anything like that around. The people who run and maintain the parks gave up on kicking us out themselves and just go calling the police, then when they show up they don't care but they have to make us leave. Then somebody else call on us a bit later and it's usually the same officers that come and make us leave.

Ah well in that case they deserve it, If yall have been kicked out multiple times and keep going back knowing your not suppose to be there, they deserve to take the ride in the squad car.

I have been to jail a handful of times, Only once can i say i didnt really deserve it, If im being honest with myself anyway. But all my offenses were for fighting really. I never stole nothing or ran the streets with drugs or anything like that. Just had a bad attitude and didnt care for people.

Im still working on it.
