...But I have a taz shirt from 96 thats ratty as eff and I don't care one bit. I'll wear it to Walmart right now..

This made me laugh hard!
I can totally see someone at Walmart wearing a busted ass Taz shirt from 1996.
Awesome! :D
That line is sig worthy!

Don't know if the hard water is causing your problems, but our water down here is so hard, you could use if for a foundation. My sisters and s-in-l all have water softeners and I don't. The only good I see them doing is lowering their bank accounts. I have a filter on the refrigerator and one of those "pitcher-filter" things for drinking water and that's it. What kind of soap do you use? I've using that high efficiency He soap (tide or all). Every soap has a different composition. Maybe whatever you are using accelerates the shrinking process.

Just went down to check, the wife always keeps a couple different kinds. Right now down there we have Tide plus bounty, Arm and hammer sensitive skin for the kids clothes and we have purex. I have tried them all, and all at once even LMAO

I dont know but the reason I brought it up today is because i washed some clothes a little bit ago and 2 shirts that was brand new shrunk a crazy amount. I was MAD, i ripped one shirt like hulk hogan stepping into a slim jim- I was Peed off, i really liked the shirts and they came out looking like they were meant for one of those wiener dogs.

On another note, I just got thru trying out cold bluing a knife and it worked out better than i though, it got the blade darker than i thought it would from the stuff i was reading. I used Birchwood and Casey "Super Blue"

Not sure how long it will last cutting wood but right now it looks good. I had no experience doing this and was a little confused when the liquid was kind of clear, but it was pretty cool watching it change the color of the metal.

The one on the left is a Brian Breedan Camp Cleaver - 10.5" blade, 1/4" thick and brutally awesome as a chopper. :D

I just said i like it, not that i was going to try and take it from you LMAO... Why you sending me a virus through email ???

I usually leave the blue on for 30 mins or so then give it a light buff with steel wool (Can't remember if I repeat the cycle ) . It really seems to stick to the steel that way. Occasionally, given that its a little more hardy now I treat the blue like PBC etchant and will stonewash the blade for a fallout treatment look. Following the manufacturers instructions of 30 seconds or even 2 mins isn't enough...It'll just rub off when battoning.

I put it on for a couple minutes or so, I used a q-tip and slowly dabbed it on a and worked it in, then the other side, then i waited a couple minutes and washed it off in cold water, then scrubbed it down with 0000 steel wool, then repeated that 3 times.

I never read the instructions that came with it or the bottle, i read some stuff online but really i just kept going until it was where i wanted.

again im not sure how well it will hold up but ill give it a shot soon

someone wanted to see the Kabar grass machete at beckerwest so here it is. It's got a "triple edge" and looks like a sword snake eyes would use. Blade length is about 14" and comes with a nylon sheath.

I used that super blue on my bk10 after I had it in vinegar for over 4 hours. the thing I notice about putting on a liquid finish is soaking it and letting it air dry making sure there are no water marks at the tip then using 0000 extra fine wool as well

It's actually a bit heavy for grass and vegetation but it's pretty awesome.

Hey WW, I wash my shirts in cold water, after they are done but still wet I stretch them out, the fibers (or whatever you want to call it) will give when wet and it will not dry shrunk up. I have a long torso (and large stomach too!), so I have had to hang dry my shirts since I was a kid. If you can get your wife to help, they will stretch out even longer.

It's at a strip mall under a roof with a few stairsets around it.

Then it's not "public property", is it? In fact, there's really no such thing. It all belongs to somebody.

The thing is there's no signed posted anywhere. We even asked for them to show us a sign or law saying that we can't be there, but there isn't one.

Contrary to common opinion, there's no requirement to post "no trespassing" signs or anything like that. You know dang well it's not your property.

With certain obvious exceptions like handicap access and racial/civil rights issues, business/property owners (including "public" entities like parks and sidewalks) can restrict pretty much whatever they please. Dogs, bikes, smoking, skateboards, gang-affiliated clothing, guns, knives, whatever. You don't like it? Go away :p

Sorry to sound like a grumpy old man, but you and your friends are being a real pain in the neck,. The main reason for all these big meany-head rules is so one of you little rascals doesn't knock someone over or fall down and skin his knee and have your parents sue the city or the strip mall... or me, for that matter. Sounds dumb, but it happens.

I had 7 beers over the course of 4 hours. Just a smidgen hung over.

Lightweight :D

Lightweight :D

I know. After three back-to-back I was just barely not ok to drive. Had to walk down to the liquor store for more beer. Luckily the store is right next to this good Mexican place so I got some burritos too. This morning I walked back to the same place and got some breakfast burritos. Awesome stuff.

Ok. I just got ww message about a virus email from me. I didn't send it to him or anyone else. If you get an email from me DO NOT OPEN IT! I'll try to get this sorted out asap.

Sorry.

Ok. I changed my password and ran a virus scan, which came up with zip, and ran one on my phone too. If anyone else gets an email from me with an attachment, please do not open it and let me know as soon as possible.

Sorry for any headaches this may have caused.

I think that we have had enough discussion on the proper way to wash clothes and move on to something more interesting. Like which fork to use when eating salad.
