If the patient is Hispanic, we have a chance around here, but one time we had a Japanese guy break a leg waterskiing in Lake Travis. And I knew the most Japanese... ichi ni san shi go and binjo 1,2,3,4,5,bathroom

Im a first responder and I have never heard anything about this. I know we have translations of all sorts available at the hospital but in the field we are pretty much screwed.
If they are at home ask them if they have a video phone and then tell the interpreter you are 911 and have them call you. If you are out away from the house write down if they have VRS on their phone. Easiest way is to point at their phone and sign VRS

Not a joke. 18 and older. Women are allowed but they choose not to go in. And Derek does get a little wild.

Seriously. Like X-rated at times. I've been there, I've seen it happen, even contributed. My mother would be so disappointed.

And thanks man for the info, I just finished reading this..... copied and pasted from somewhere else....

I was intrested in RTAK-II 16 1/2" long, 3/16" thick and micarta grip "survival" type knife (like I need another one) until I looked at some reviews on youtube. The RTAK-II was made with 1095 carbon steel during the first run and now being offered in 5160 steel. The 1095 series were failing when batonning, chopping and hacking of wood. Blades either snapped or big pieces of the cutting edge would break off.

Some would claim these knives were abused but I'd disagree for this type of knife. I think Ontario realized the issues of their 1095 series and that's why they changed to 5160. Ontario (to their credit) has replaced said knives without any problems. Heat treat? metallurgic composition? Who knows what the issue was?

I'm just giving the heads up to anyone interested in the RTAK-II to pay attention to the model they pick up and make sure it's the updated 5160 series. If you own the 1095 and haven't put it through some hard use you may not want to rely on it solely until it has proven itself for your needs. My need for a survival knife is bushcraft, defense and maybe even a digging tool. Like firearms your tools and equipment need to be tested before you will need it.

Hmmm, maybe I'll get one of the newer ones and trade off my old one.

We should see if we can get to 2000 before they notice!

Why is your world wood, Worldwood? Inquiring minds need to know

Doc

All my life I loved plants, i loved trees, I loved the colors, the grains that run through certain types of wood, the smells everything.

When i was in Korea, we took a little "trip" to the jungle. Every plant that looked new to me i stopped and admired. I would check the grains of the wood and all. Then a buddy of mine started saying, i was a world wide wood examiner... That was too long so worldwood it is.

CB - My thumb is too short to make a 6 or 7 properly. Maybe that's what the instructor was referring to. When I make a 7, my pinky curls in an when I make a 6 it looks just like W.

6 and w do look alike cause they are the same hand shape. Mostly that depends on just context.

My middle finger always pops up Im not sure why
Cause you're korean and you're looking for your brother?

Jim Croce was ahead of his time WW.... I really miss his presence on Earth...

Doc

Leroy Brown was almost my hero when i was a kid, I wanted to be Leroy Brown LMAO

My father use to play Jim for hours man, I would always get excited when he turned it on. That kind of music is damn near extinct anymore unfortunately.

He was way before my time, but still a great musician.
