Well, my situation at work yesterday was takin care of today, yesterday, after the big blow up with the bossman, I composed a beautifully written letter to HR. Of coarse they where out of the office till next week, (which I think bossman thought would work to his favor. Or he didn't think I was ballsy enough to go over his head.) So, I sent it to the head of corporate HR. This morning when I got to work, I checked my email, and I had a reponse back from him simply stating he had a lenthy conversation with the parties involved and he gauanteed the situation was rectified, and for me to report to bossmans office imediately upon his arrival first thing of the morning and he would be more than happy to make the nessessary accomidations and cover all travel expenses. Haha. Even gave me a list of restuarants close by that I could eat at and have added to the hotel bill no charge to me, a $50. a day expense allowance and there paying me overtime wages for driving time (6hrs). Funny thing was, Mr. Bossman, even though he couldn't look me in the eye the whole time he was making the arrangments, was just as nice and polite as he could be. Gave me great joy I must say, a real shame though, worked for that company for 17 years, and that's the first time I had to push something to that level. But the sh!t rolled up hill today, evidently he didn't like having his ass handed to him by his suborinant. Just wondering how bad he will have it out for me.

Yeah, that's the only thing I couldn't get the company to commit to pay for. However, due to my smartass nature, I did ask! :D needless to say, bossman didn't find the humor in it but still gave a halfass grin and giggle to save what ass he had left from getting chewed off from the bigger dawd! But don't worry buddy, i'll hook us up, we will be drinking like kings on the day of my return, our gut will be filled with Yeunglings!

I had a pretty shi**y day myself. Started pissing blood about 2 o'clock and had to call in for my shift tonight. Pretty sure it's another kidney stone.

So, my bossman starts asking me why I didn't call earlier and have I tried to get my shift covered. I told him "It's not my job to get the shift covered. It's yours." And that his first question was "probably the dumbest thing I'd ever heard him say". If I had a way to predict when a kidney stone was gonna start kicking my ass I'd definitely schedule around it.
I recently read a post on Quora about leadership. It said " The difference between a good leader and a tyrant is empathy".
Or something like that. Anyway, the hydrocodone is kicking in so I think it's nap time.
And if I'm back here in an hour and start giving away all my stuff or offering back rubs just ignor me or tell me to go find my pillow. G'night.....

After thinking about it all day, I've come up with my Halloween costume. I'm going as a crotchety old bastard that lives in the swamp.

Does anyone else watch Breakout Kings? I been watching it for the last couple days, maybe a week now. Been watching on Netflix. Good show. I won't say it's up there with the top 3 shows in the world but it's good.
 
Ok I need opinions. I already decided to go with an ipod 160gb because I have a ton of cds taking up space and also have found plenty of hard-to-find specimens available for a fraction as downloads, so it's time to stop with the plastic and see where this goes. Now the issue is that I want to do the same with books and get an e-reader, so the options are either a kindle paperwhite or nook simpletouch with glowlight. Which one and why?

Yup i have seen them all, it is a pretty good show.
 
Just had a tornado pass three and half miles south of here. We got some wind and dime sized hail. Odd weather for Halloween.

Android tablet and either nook or kindle app.

Both systems are based on the free licence Android OS, just go to the source.

Android is legit, open source means that it's limitless and there tons of software out there that is compatible with a Windows environment. With a little know how, it can do anything you want it to and if it can't yet, some nerd in his mommas basement will pioneer a way to make it happen.
