The feathered Tyrannosaurus

Well, I see that Blueeyeddevil's stupid trolling has led to his walking the plank. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Just a couple of suggestions for those interested in following up on the question of feathered dinosaurs and of the dinosaur/bird connection:

Dinosaurs of the Air: The Evolution and Loss of Flight in Dinosaurs and Birds, (Hardcover), by Gregory S. Paul. This is a very heavy, in both senses of the word, tome on the subject by one of the best experts in the field. it is very scietific and academic and not for the casual reader. But it is a very excellent discussion of the current state of paleontology as it relates to the subject. Its cost, alone, will discourage the casual onlooker: $46.49 at Amazon.com

Feathered Dinosaurs, (Hardcover), by Christopher Sloan. This is a small book put out by the National Geographic Society and it is aimed at children, grades 5-8. I may be a child at heart, but I also enjoyed it. It is profusely illustrated and sells for $12.97 at Amazon, but they are in short supply of them. And it has a delightful picture of a parent T-Rex with a downy covered chick.
