Psy that looks more like a uterus than a moose but I'll give you an A for effort. It's yours! Just email me your address and I'll get it out tomorrow!

Thanks for the laughs!!!

Had a nice porter tonight. Twice.
Forget the name.

Sometimes that happens when more than one is involved. Try to remember, though. Inquiring minds wish to know. Speaking of porters, have you had the Out of Your Gourd Pumpkin Porter from RedHook? Very tasty, IIRC.

Haven't tried that one, and in fact I generally don't like porters. If I remember I'll post.

I do like Redhook ESB, which I describe as "the center of beer". There's not much else to it, and its one of my favorite light-colored beers for that reason.

And it's great in kegs, and brewed right here in town. "the center of beer". I like that description, like the middle of the bell curve.

I have been keeping my eyes open for that since you mentioned it a while back.

Sipping on a Bourbon County now. The alcohol is definitely there, but not overwhelming. My palate is not advanced enough to properly describe the majesty of this beer.

Damn.

Exactly so. Didn't realize it was a new england local.
RedHook is also contract brewing a bunch of stuff: Kona, Widmer, and Goose Island. There were some mix packs at Market Basket some weeks ago with Redhoo, Kona and Widmer....pretty neat. And, if you feel like drinking in the cold, They're having their "Polar Grill Fest" January 25th. I'm hoping to be in attendance.

We're transvestite free over here. Well, unless you count Moose... And Bladite... And DerekH...

i'm a polysexual. now bend over, it's time for your weekly kayak of lurve. you know you like it.

Oh no judgement, I just couldn't remember if they officially started selling it outside of the Abbey or not. I can understand why they ask others not to re-sell, but it does allow more people to try it since we can't all line up outside the Abbey.

Sounds like we have similar tastes, Rochefort 10 is possibly my favorite Belgian ale. It's not widely distributed here, but easy enough to find. Orval... eh I'm glad I tried it but have not had it again since. Not a trappist, but I also really like Duchesse De Bourgogne.

Have you ever had the change to try any beers by Unibroue? They are in Quebec and brew exclusively Belgian style, not sure if they distribute in Europe though. They really make some excellent beers, especially the Quads. I'd be curious to know what a *true* Belgian thought of a *N. American* Belgian :D

Can't say that I have tried it. There are plenty pubs with 1k+ different beers so I should be able to at least taste one at some point. I wrote it down and it's going in my wallet ;). Thanks for the tip!

I think Westmalle is my favorite.

It's really good and widely available over here. Because of that it's probably the trappist I have been drinking the most in the past. It's great with french fries and a steak.

Finally started reading "American Sniper", I can't believe it took me this long to get around to it. A damned fine book.
