By the way Charles, Santas got your M-9 ready to throw down your chimney! ;)

Lucky bastard

Bulleit orange and green labels are both pretty nice, and affordable too

Got ten inches of snow over an inch and a half of ice here. A crisp ten degrees. Fire feels good and the coffee hits the spot. I think clearing the road will just have to wait a while. :D

Seems like a good excuse to have a second cuppa....and third....maybe a lunchtime cocktail.....maybe it'll melt a little by tomorrow.

I forgot to mention Kay has a skillet of bacon going for second breakfast. Yeah, that road doesn't look that bad really.

Lucky dog. I love the snow. We didn't get a single flake. The edge of that system was about 20 miles south of us.

Your is next buddy, just slow on these (no sh!t, right) like I said earlier, for some reason, the M-9s fight me something terrible. Cutting out 1/4 in. on my crap saw is no fun and the way there compact for as big as they are make them difficult and painfull on my hands to grind for starters. So, theres already hard feelings right when I start one of these, the knife and I just never seem to make up any time during there construction. Im getting them though, Ive got 5 hanging in the shop. yours will be the next one you see pics of.

No worries Im just excited :)

Pearl Harbor...how could you forget?

Basically what C-Bear said. I went in on the 6th and worked all night. When I went to turn in I was excited to be on my weekend and was in a hurry to get out of there and get to bed.

When he went into work it was the 6th. The 6th is not the day that lives in infamy. To be fair, he also said that by 8am he is drinking.

(I think he has a problem to be honest)

Yeah. The problem is I'm not drunk yet! :D

I got my competition cutter and i cant even explain how well this was thought out! How he positioned the handle was GENIUS! It is a heavy BEAST at 2 pounds but its weight is slap full of purpose. Without any effort at all it bites deep!! Now this is not a new knife, this is the exact knife you seem him using in the 1 hit 2x4 chop youtube video, and the knife he has used for the last 3 years for his 2x4 derbys including the 2011 national championship, And its never lost :) so its been used hard A LOT and it has a great story behind it, but it does not represent the fit and finish you get on his new knives, even though i love how this thing looks you cant judge this ones looks to what you get when you order a new knife from him. But like i told Dan i was after something that works, and works great and looks didnt matter to me. And from the little i got to try it out so far, Its unlike anything i ever tried and easily out-chops everything i own. I cant wait to get it out in the forest and put it through some real chopping.

I also got my Manix 2, an excellent knife for sure!! I put it straight to work as well testing it out on paper, cardboard, and wood. It does a fine job, I do think the FFG like on the Native5 would be better on it but i have no problem getting this one to slice with ease either so im happy with it, it came new... its not new anymore :D

All of these got a little bit of time to play today, and with these and my swamp rat hawk im almost set for big knives... ALMOST. I still need the new Ratweiler when its released, A kukri just because, A Machax because of Jonny, and a 3V chopper.... but that last one is already in the works :)
